Scientists clearly have stated that dogs and other smaller animals do not dream...

So this hamster ...doesn't sleep...?
... Just has spasms...?
... Secretly gets small electroshocks to make it move like that...?
... Has been drinking liquor and is drunk as a lord...?

... But hamsters still do not dream......

Vonskippy - That altitude is the approximation that was mentioned in the final report of the aircrash-investigation.
The fall of 2 miles was based on the hight of the flightpath of the airplane when it was still going, minus the reconstructed dive it took after it was hit towards the point that it disintegrated.
So it wasn't Juliane who knew that she fell for such a distance- She took that distance from what was explained to her afterwards by others.

And like others say- She was the only person of all those passengers plus crew that survived that ordeal.
We will never know if others perhaps also survived their fall, because not all the passengers and crew were found back. But she's clearly the only one that walked out of there and lived to tell.
That in itself is near to impossible- but it happened.

Skipweasel has a point- If you make some contraption out of cigarette-paper- Is that contraption an airplane, or just dead-lightweight...? I mean- Can the housefly take on more payload when it uses that airplane? Can it use less energy to stay aloft by using the wing-capacity of the airplane? ...I seriously doubt...

And then, some day in the future... Some Super ant gives the signal and they all attack at the same time...

...Wasn't there some movie that went like that....?

"a Prandtl-Glauert singularity"

...

Wow, that sounds a lot like some of them terms they use in Star-Trek to make Warp-Drive plausible...!

> Scotty we need full Warp right now!!!
- Jim that is impossible because the Prandtl-Glauert singularity needs time to build up and that takes 3 nano-seconds more, so you have to wait!

Well I think this otter has a few notes akin to Schnitzke or even Schönberg...! ..Well... saying that, he eve shares a few notes with Bach and Beethoven on the well-tempered klavier...

There are still folks who think that redhaired people show some last Neanderthal characteristics. I think that the last word is not spoken even if dna-surches have shown there is no Neanderthal trace in modern humans. I guess they still overlook something.

Sofar, Neanderthal people were more succesful than modern humans as far as surviving through time goes. And about their culture we don't know zilch- a few artifacts, okay. Yet they had several hundreds of thousands of years to develop their oral history and culture, their language, their songs, their prayers, their stories, their chants and their ways of doing things. Those are all gone.

Vagabondo I understand your point. But it still sounds a lot like that the criminal has to be forgiven because he had a bad youth and an even worse stepmother and so on. If you turn to crime for whatever noble or desperate reason thinkable- Expect to be at least halted and even as likely - punished somehow. And then don't blame anyone else but yourself, because it was you who made the choise to do crime. Same with these pirates - they still are pirates, whatever their reasons to go into that trade in the first place. And as pirates, they can be stopped with as far as I'm concerned whatever means that work.

I dare you to try to do a nice paint job on the road while all those mums and dads honk and yell at you completely freaked out to get their beloved yet unwilling children to or from school and to get themselves in traffic jam or to the shopping mall and while children call you names or just distract you with all kinds of questions or remarks on how to do your job better...
