Sorry TimO but rainbows and fairy-dust are exactly what my computer works on. ...At least- that is what my daughter thinks. And she can know because she knows all about fairy-tales.
I think this about that ship is quite interesting. I vaguely remembered something about this, had to look it up and found it on Wiki:
"On October 23, 2001 the J.W. Westcott II, sank in the deep water under the Ambassador Bridge while caught in the wake of a much larger ship she was serving. The captain and one other crew member were killed and two others were rescued. The ship was later salvaged, refurbished and put back into service."
Another neat factoid found on continuouswave dot com is: "A special feature of the Westcott is the clear plexiglass roof of the pilot house. The see-thru roof allows the helmsman to maintain visual contact with the deskhands on the freighter some 25 feet above him."
If you go to the site of that university and you check out the footage in part 2 out of 4 of the newsbulletin, you can see how it works- bit like the Mirage-drive. It looks fascinating.
One last time (about 4th time I try- each time it doesn't come through:
Elsewhere I found 3 times w dot techeblog dot com slash index dot php slash tech-gadget slash frenzied-waters ... Copy, fill in proper stuff and check it out...
If the automatic sysop hadn't given such trouble, I found it kind of funny...
It's a false-track-maker. I use one daily to mislead all those who follow me when I go to work- They all think a large horse goes there, while in fact it is little me with my size 8.5 human feet...
Completely Daft that one needs to make a song and to put it on the internet before a company accepts your existance. This guy is capable of doing that- I and most of the people I know wouldn't even know where to begin.
United should feel deeply ashamed that they never took this guys claim serious AND they should feel totally ashamed that they only after this release came to react.
I love these freakshows of weaponry. People go outside themselves to create this revolutionary piece of hardware, even better than anything that already is there. They even succeed in placing their brainchild in the shops- Only to have forgotten one or two essential practical things.
In a next life I think I'll start to collect these objects myself. For now I am very happy with sites like Neatorama that once in a while present these neat gadgets to us. :-)
How do you mean...? I for one am glad that I finally can dispence with that stupid internal combustion engine that all the time stinks and makes noise on my desk...
In the beginning there also was no reason to go to the America's. Eiric Raude went there with his Vikings and got clobbered pretty bad by some local tribes. Some Irish monk in a currach-type boat got there and got rough times. Some Chinese ships over time got shipwrecked and got pretty bad receptions. And then there was this Columbus-fella that for starters thought he had found the Indie's... And after him, those first settlers more than once got roughed up by tribes that didn't like them newcomers. Naaaaah... There was only trouble with that new continent- We definitely shouldn't have gone there in the first place, let alone stay there...
- I don't like the fake blond hair
- Why did she participate to start with if she couldn't wear that crown?

...But that dousn't prevent us from "knowing" already how it would look.
Well anyhow it somehow has pretty convincing looks.
