Well perhaps D Bozko has a partly point....? Perhaps the US shóúld actually be more self-centered and clean up it's home-affair-acts before it comes to the "aid" of the rest of the world...?

Because in God's Own Country that is so rich and so helpful and so policing towards other coountries, there's an astonishing whole lot of regular Hell to live for lots of it's own residents...............

What amazes me is that there still are educated -MENSA- people who just chose to ignore the correspondence and the history of the early beginnings of the Shroud that just tells how it came into being- Te need for a "Holy Relic" that could generate a new destiny of pilgrimage hence cash and fame.

Oh and one other thing-

On one side I find these moving pic's utterly chilling and that is why I laugh them away a bit:

These buildings and appartments still exist.
Ever since Anne Frank stood there all unaware that this Doom lurked in her future, other children have stood there just like her. In my youth, it could haqve been my sister and me that stood just a few blocks and balconies away to look at some event down on the street.

This girl stood there unaware of coming death in a country and a city that at that time still were rather safe.

Similar situations happened later in Kosovo and other places.
Like this could happen to any child at any time...

I find that chilling to the bone.

To me these moving images of Anne Frank are somewhat like if they would somehow have moving images of Jeanne D'Arc or some other mythical woman from History- Just incredible that these pics exist at all.

Still - Pity that the Ahmadinejad topic dissapeared... ;-)

Popeye- I guess with the Chinese it is the same as with all other peoples- You are against this kind of imagery becaue of what you feel has gone wrong in your country. Yet I speak with other fellow-countrymen of yours that are all proud and happy about this show of National Identity and Pride- They say it is a show of the upcoming pride, might and modernisation of China- of a country that once was the centre of the world and that once will be that centre again, whatever has happened in it's near and father past. Those Chinese that I speak would even consider you to be a traitor to the Chinese Dream.

Any way I look at it- I think it is fitting in the Millennia-long Chines cultural tradition. This time-lapse captures that in a very stylistical way.

And if you think this Chinese expression of patriotism is so special- Perhaps take a look at all the patriotistic expressions in endless parades and flagwaving and singings of the National Anthem and the flowing of tears in the United States of America that most of us Europeans at least make stutter in wonder and amazement.

so don't say that China does wrong with this expression if in other parts of the world it isn't much better- There is no Shangri-La on this planet of ours. Everywhere you go, ou will find things that are not entitely good in it's present and in it's past.

China nowadays has become to what it is, for a large part because Western Capitalism has forced it to do so. And that is not from only the last 20 or so years- the entire development of modern China for the last say 140 years, is at Least partly a reaction on how the West and the rest of the world reacted to China. Good or bad- he West is just as guilty if ever you would choose to speak about guilt.

"If you want this -message- in another language, move to a country that speaks it"

BUT:
In the 'Tube it says "This is an actual messege at a school in Australia".

Yet the text says: "The staff of the Pacific Palisades High School did make the answering machine recording though it was never put on the school’s system."

...So in the end they didn't dare....?

That is sick.

Shouldn't this Amy Lau get a compulsory appointment with a friendly man in a white coat that can talk to her to find out about when this all started....?

How screwed up can people get if they come up with furniture and assessories like this...

Okay- A bouncing pack that weighs...How much...? The construction that is pictured there looks like it weighs at least 40 pounds on it's own. So that would bring the total equal weight on ...120 pounds or something...?

...Perhaps for the time being better keep sticking with spare batteries........

The Pacer ugly??? Mán to me back then that was The Future getting reality! And the Mustang II ugly...? Compared to most European cars, this car at least looked like it had some balls and muscles!
And then the PT-Cruiser? All the arguments that are given here just point at smugness frowm the writer...
The MB-G ugly...? Then where are the Hummer and the Defender especially the ummer that is 10 times more pug-ugly than the MB-G...?
And the 2-CV- Come Ón...! That is One Cute car if there ever was...!- What is wróng with that writer???
The VW--- As already mentioned- It was not meant to have beauty. So why hide when you would ride in it? Or is the writer some Metro-Fairy that just hás to have the látest in mobile beauty-fashion to match with his fashionable shoes and jeans and his haute-couture hairdo......? Oh- Yuck what a Creep...!
