um, i own some leather shoes and an old belt. i even once had a 'Leatherman' pocket tool that i got for x-mas once but sorry dude i wear boxers and occasionally cotton briefs when i feel the need for some extra support (like at my union affiliated construction job). my original posting was more a comment than a complaint. and actually, now that i think of it i have given blood more than once when i was younger and my office had a blood drive. oops, i hope nobody accidentally got gay. maybe that person is now wearing the leather panties i guess i'm required to own.

i flew out of Newark airport that morning for business. we must have arrived around 6:30 or 7 am. as we got out of the cab my boss looked back at the city and said look at the world trade center it looks so weird. this sounds cheesy and like b.s. but as i looked across the river i could see the light from the sun as it was rising reflecting between the two towers making them look smaller at the bottom and wider at the top. that's the last view i had of the WTC. then we went inside and got on our 8:15 United airlines flight to Ohio and when we went to rent a car we heard the report of the first plane and listened as the rest unfolded on our way to the hotel. it wasn't til a couple of weeks later that we remembered the weird sunrise optical illusion. i didn't see the face of jesus in it or anything but in hindsight its a poignant coincidence.

that's pretty amazing but the panning shots are way too fast and jump from one area to the next in a disorienting way. it would be nice if this or any video strove to give a real understanding of the house and how all the different spaces relate t one another. having never been there i was surprised to see several different views that i had no idea existed. not to knock this project but it's piqued my interest and i'd like to see a more comprehensive and explanatory tour of the house and how it's sited. i kept wishing that this were an episod of the french t.v. show "Architectures", available on Netflix, the fourth disc of which does a loving explication of the Maison de Verre in Paris.

i have this toothpaste and have used it on and off for years. strangely enough i too am a strange toothpaste afficionado and am curious to check out the competition. however, this toothpaste while not as challenging as it might sound doesn't actually whiten your teeth at all. what it does is deposit a totally temporary thin line of black at the juncture of your teeth and gums so that by contrast your teeth do appear whiter. it took me awhile to catch on. it's not gross and does a pretty decent tooth cleaning job but it does seem a little abrasive on the enamel for everyday use. my personal favorite is Weleda brand salt toothpaste. it tastes great and makes your mouth feel incredibly clean. that said, most strange toothpastes come from countries that aren't renowned for attractive teeth. flouride might be implanting masonic, alien signals in all our brains but americans have pretty nice teeth overall.

that's embarassing. can anybody say white girl. all together now... even she looks a little ashamed of what she's doing. btw that's an old song by somebody else just slightly processed and the voice put through an effects box.

circular breathing is also used in meditation and yoga. both of which seem more applicable given the context than a musical one. if the press release and reviews weren't in german they would probably give you more information. i would think though, that the photos shown are both finished art works in themselves and also documention of the intended use of the latex spheres, which would appear to isolate oneself with, and make one more aware of, one's own breathing. that's where the circular breathing comes in. but, if you stayed in one of those spheres too long you'd eventually suffocate. so maybe that's part of the point? contemplation and also it's down side? i could be way wrong though.

that's a pretty amazing phenomenon. my real question though is, are they speaking some kind of canadian click language? is that newfie french or newfie english? i know there was once a newfoundland gaelic dialect but supposedly that's pretty much extinct. truth be told though that's what their speech sounds like to me.

besides the ingredients, he's doing it wrong. you're supposed to do it bent over so the water goes into your upper sinuses and gets out all the deep, nasty, impacted mucous. it works great for sinus infections but you should do it only when you absolutely need to, like when you have a bad sinus infection. otherwise you wash out the protective layer of mucous and expose yourself to germs and will almost definitely get sick.

Credit Where It's Due: this is from a video that i think is entitled "how things work" or "how things go" by swiss artists Peter Fischli and David Weiss. it's a shame this was posted without giving them credit. the full video is about 1/2 hour long and is really incredible as it's all one take. if you're in new york they have a show up now at Matthew Marks gallery upstairs on 24th street that has a ton of photos showing similar works from the same time perod. the photos show weird contraptions made from carrots, forks, bowling balls, tires, ladders etc. that are basically feats of balancing, i.e. these and similar everyday objects are balanced and levered and stuck into each other in ways that seem impossible and make you wonder how long it took to figure things like this out and how long they stayed together. also, it's pretty amazing to think that this is what someone does with their life. they also make great sculptures where they carve totally realistic objects like brooms, mops and whole constrution sites out of realistically painted foam and plaster. they are total badasses. the gallery's website might have images of the photos.
