Wow, a video on YouTube? What more proof could anyone ask for? If only those tens of thousands of scientists warning people about the dangers of man made global warming had just thought to check YouTube first.
I thought the same thing, but it's worth noting that most Neatorama writers are just users submitting their own articles, so maybe you could cut them some slack.
Um, actually the article is entirely correct. These policies may have started under Obama, but they were RATCHETED up by Trump and protests against ICE largely started only after that point. But nice try to preach that trademark whataboutism that Trump fans all adore so much.
Yeah, as someone with celiac disease, it annoys me to no end when things like this are labeled as gluten free. It's popcorn, it had better be gluten free. It's just turning into another stupid buzzword that people automatically assume is healthy when it actually has a very specific meaning that does not necessarily mean something is healthy. In fact, many gluten free products are loaded with fat and sugar to make them actually taste good.
Regretsy was great. I loved the weird stuff they posted and it was great that they actually took some strong stances against wholesalers and resellers on the site. I really liked the design awards because they bring attention to the people who actually should be on Etsy.
Agreed. Fiji water specifically drives me nuts. Is it so impossible to at least drink bottled water that doesn't come from somewhere where the population can't get their hands on clean water? How messed up would it be if the Flint crisis happened at the same time that a massive conglomerate was bottling perfectly clean water from a natural spring in the heart of Flint and selling it to Europeans at a crazy inflated price?
San Diego tap water tastes terrible, but we go to a local water store and fill up reusable 3 gallon bottles that taste great, are totally clean and don't fill up landfills. I don't know why more people don't do the same.
I can't tell you how true this is and how quickly you realize it as a new parent. My stepmother got incensed when I told her the AAP suggests giving formula or breast milk to babies until they are 6 months old. Well she fed her babies food at 2 months and they turned out just fine. I told her some people used to give their babies morphine 100 years ago and they probably said the same thing.
Sorry to make assumptions about your position. You simply made the vague argument that "it's a complicated issue" and deflected about one specific incident that happened in Europe, which tends to be the cry of those who don't want to make any changes at all for fear their precious guns are taken away. I think you have a lot of valid points and you're right, there is no one simple solution. I do believe providing better and free mental health services and instituting some basic gun control laws (background checks, limits on ammo possession, etc.) are a good first step though and from there we can see what's working and what's not.
And for the record, I do like guns and think they're fun -I just don't think we should make something super easy to get and stockpile just because it's fun when it causes tens of thousands of people to die every year.
