"What Orbits the Earth?"
Is it Mars, Venus, the moon, or the sun? The French title of this video is "Who wants to win a neuron?" You could beat this guy (and you can get the gist of this clip) even if you don’t speak French. Via Just Elite

Cozy Apartment Design Challenge.

Simple Simon read about the London flat for sale that was only 7’x11’. He took that as a design challenge. Can such a small space be made livable? His plans include a space-saving sleeping loft. My suggestion would be to combine the shower and toilet area, as they do in some Japanese hotels. Link
The Hensel Twins.
Conjoined Twins – video powered by Metacafe
Abby and Brittany Hensel are the conjoined twins from Minnesota you may remember from the TV special Joined for Life. They share many body organs, and each twin controls one arm and leg, but they coodinate so well they seem to move as one. Now almost 17 years old, here’s an update of how Abbby and Brittany are doing in high school. Push play or go to MetaCafe.
The Greatest & The Worst Super Bowl Ads Ever.
Tomorrow, most of America will stop and watch the biggest football game of the year: Super Bowl XLI [official site | wiki] in Miami, Florida.
Here’s a couple neat links about the Super Bowl from MSNBC:
Super Bull! The real truths behind Super Bowl legends and myths. For example:
Myth No. 7: Buckle up on Super Sunday
The auto repair industry loves the Super Bowl because Americans are more likely to crash their cars after the game’s final gun.Fact or fiction: Four years ago, researchers at the University of Toronto examined this bloody piece of Super Bowl lore. They determined that automobile accidents indeed climb more than 40 percent in the hours after the Super Bowl — with the biggest increase coming in cities and towns closest to the home of the losing team.
The study pointed to alcohol consumption, fatigue and inattention as the primary causes. Researchers compared Super Bowl Sunday with adjacent Sundays when weather was the same and found a 41 percent jump in fatal accidents in the four hours or more after the game along with a 48 percent rise in non-fatal accidents.

Even the high cost of Super Bowl ads doesn’t guarantee that companies won’t find a way to make bad commercials. The 10 Worst Super Bowl Ads of All Time explains.
Oh heck, here are three for you to watch:

Nailing jelly to a wall.

You’ve heard the phrase “like nailing jelly to the wall†to describe a difficult task. Graeme Cole decided to find out exactly how difficult it was to nail jelly (or Jello for Americans) to a wall. He chronicled his experiment step-by-step with pictures. Link -via the Presurfer
Update 2/8/07: MyScienceProject has more about nailing jell-o:
Our further investigation into this area leads us to state the following: Jell-O can be effectively nailed to a wall if you increase its density by reducing the proportion of water to gelatin in the recipe, or fortify it by adding more gelatin powder.
