Simple "Hack" Lets You Unlock Thousands Of Hidden Categories On Netflix

(Image Link)

When you watch Netflix through your web browser you see titles sorted into obvious categories like Action, Comedy or Television Shows, with a web address that looks like this- http://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/10757

The number at the end indicates the genre, in this case "British Movies", and by changing that number you can discover all kinds of super specific categories you wouldn't see otherwise.

(Image Link)

You can see a full list of the extremely specific "streaming by type" categories on Netflix here, such as Action & Adventure based on real life from the 1980s (1051), Gritty Chinese Action & Adventure from the 1980s (208) or Violent Cult Movies from the 1980s (3539).

Some of the links on the list don't work, which isn't surprising given Netflix's ever changing selection, but those that do may turn you on to some new movies you may not have stumbled upon otherwise.

Fallout 4 Player's Wife Sends Him On Quest To Find Game Disc

Hardcore gamers know how important a game can become to their lives, and once you've set out on a virtual journey to decide your character's fate that journey must be completed or sanity points will be lost IRL.

This is especially true when the game is an epic RPG that you've already sunk dozens, if not hundreds, of hours into playing, like the awesome new lifewaster game Fallout 4.

Imgur user malcolm10 left home for a day to seek adventure in the outside world, thinking of nothing but his beloved the entire time, but when he got home he found that his wicked wife had hidden his precious game disc.

Malcolm10 (real name Ryan) felt betrayed by this act of cruelty against his beloved game, and yet the quest to find the disc proved intriguing so he journeyed onward.

Ryan would not allow his jealous wife to take away the virtual love of his life, nor would he rest until he could once again plant his butt and play the game, so the search continued until...

Time Lapse Video Of Body Painting Artist Transforming Herself Into Thanos

Body painting is not only mind-blowing to see when its finished, it's also really fun to watch being done, especially in time lapse so you can see the whole thing come together while your attention span holds strong.

Now take the fun of watching of an ordinary bodypaint video and multiply it by 10000x, because seeing Kay Pike turn herself into Thanos at 10000x speed is just plain super!

It's really hard to tell where Kay's facial features lie under all that line work and color when the transformation is complete, and if the makeup career doesn't pan out Kay would make a great inker!

Wife Texts Husband All The Things He Says While Talking In His Sleep

It's hard to share a bed with someone who has a problem sleeping, but it's even worse sharing a bed with someone who snores, thrashes around or talks in their sleep.

But if you can't break up, or sleep in a separate bedroom, you should make the most of the situation by finding ways to mock your partner mercilessly about the annoying stuff they do while you're trying to sleep.

Lindsay Stamhuis knew her husband Aidan Hailes was a sleep talker and she learned to deal with it the fun way- by sending him texts of all the amazing things he says in his sleep.

At first I felt the texts were a bit passive aggressive of her, but when you read the texts you see that she genuinely enjoys all the weird stuff Aidan says while sleeping.

And really it's like Aidan is telling her a story every night, a story that interrupts her sleep but is still entertaining...and sometimes hard to understand.

Pictures That Prove We're Living In The Future

(Image Link)

We may not be living in the personal jet packs and flying cars future sci-fi made us dream about, but our 21st century world is pretty futuristic.

Or maybe we should start referring to the the world we live in , and the tech we've integrated into our lives, as modernistic, because the future is now.

We've got prosthetic hands that can be 3D printed and built in less than 48 hours, hundreds of gigabytes of memory in our tiny SD cards, and one little smartphone replaced eight different devices.

(Image Link)

And speaking of that most futuristic form of reproduction 3D printing we can now use a pen to "print" a 3D "drawing", we can print out chocolate in any shape we want, and we can create the ultimate birthing memento- a 3D print of your unborn child.

(Image Link)

If that ain't futuristic I don't know what is!

Samuel L. Jackson Reads Famous Movie Lines His Way

Movie stars don't come much more recognizable or badass than Samuel L. Jackson, the guy who somehow manages to be a Jedi and a Bad Mother...er at the same time.

Part of the reason he's so recognizable are all the infinitely quotable lines he's delivered with a little extra L. in movies like Pulp Fiction, Snakes On A Plane and, most recently, in Tarantino's The Hateful Eight.

But as you can see in this clip from The Late Show With Stephen Colbert not all famous movie lines and catchphrases sound cool coming out of Samuel L.'s mouth.

Mr. Jackson also managed to come up with the perfect plot for Snakes On A Plane 2- Lions and tigers and bears on a plane, oh my!

Five Strangely Specific Things We All Try To Do When We're Sick

Being sick totally sucks, and yet we know winter is coming each and every year, bringing a new batch of sickness with it.

Get sick enough times in your life and you know exactly what to expect- fever, chills, tons of snot, coughing fits, some body aches, maybe even a little vomiting...or a lot of vomiting.

We also know all the normal human things we suck at when we're sick, like watching TV when we can't follow the storyline, going to the store to get medicine we could've ordered online, and drinking a little booze to "burn the cold out of our heads".

That one feels like it really works while we're buzzed, then we wake up sicker than before.

Movie Poster Postcards Superimposed Over Real Dogs

Dogs are cute, entertaining to watch and get lots of love from human fans wherever they go, but most of our dogs simply don't have famous faces.

That doesn't become an issue until you start to believe your dog belongs in motion pictures, which comes right before producers start asking for your dog's résumé.

But before you enroll your dog in acting classes or start sending them to auditions for short films you should take a tip from Malaysian artist Jaemy Choong and make your dog instantly famous instead.

Jaemy holds up a postcard sized movie poster over an unfamous dog to superimpose the fame and fan acclaim right onto that basic Basset Hound or generic German Shepherd.

Watch Just Cause 3 Basically Play Itself

There are a few things that make it immediately clear a video game is broken- when a level is unbeatable, when glitches make the game unplayable, and when a game sits and plays itself.

That last one is the rarest of the three because it actually takes more work to muck your game up in that way, since the bit going haywire is the non-player character AI added to make the world feel more real.

The new game Just Cause 3 apparently has its NPC AI set to "go crazy whenever player character stands still", because standing still turns the street into a bloody nightmare in less than two minutes.

(YouTube Link)

Not sure how the rest of the game plays out, but this video by ThingsWePlay proved Just Cause 3 is a great game to turn on in the background while hosting a cocktail party.

Wastewater Plant In Baltimore Infested With Hundreds Of Millions Of Spiders

Spiders don't know that many humans are terrified of them, nor do they heed the traditional "less than a million babies per mom" rule humans find easy to follow.

So when spiders are left undisturbed inside a structure humans rarely visit they tend to reproduce in staggering numbers, since there aren't any humans around to shriek at them and spoil their fun.

When employees at Baltimore's Wastewater Treatment Plant began noticing the webs back in 2009 they had no idea how much real estate those arachnid clans had taken for their own.

Pest controllers discovered an estimated 95 percent of the four acre building was covered in webs, home to over a hundred million long-jawed orb weaver spiders (an estimated 35,176 spiders per square meter).

Maybe it's a shooting location for an all arachnid version of The Wire?

This McDonald's In Maine Is Built Into A Colonial House

Freeport, Maine isn't the kind of town where franchisees build fast food joints like McDonald's all willy-nilly, with giant golden arches and clowny architecture ruining the classic look of that colonial town.

In fact, Freeport wasn't even open to the presence of a McDonald's restaurant until the owners suggested they build their restaurant inside the historic Gore House.

Now the home of L.L. Bean also has one of the classiest and most unique McDonald's restaurant locations in the world, with a drive-thru fit for a royal carriage.

A Colorful Graph That Shows Most Likely Cause Of Death By Age

Colorful graphs always look like a lot of fun, but then you find out what sort of statistic the graph is depicting and the bright and cheery colors don't really matter anymore.

The wonderful rainbow colored waves on this stack area graph by Nathan Yau represent a dark and dreary statistic- how you're most likely to die, according to your sex, race and age group.

Most of the information isn't really that surprising- people under 30 are most likely to die from an external cause, while our 60+ senior years are rife with cancer.

What is surprising is the spike in cancer rates for both boys and girls under ten, and how over 80% of men who died at age 18 died from external causes. Live fast die young indeed.

Cats Versus Dogs By Bird Born

Lots of comics deal with the differences between cats and dogs, since they are the most popular pets for pencil jockeys, but there has never been a collection of difference drawings quite like this series by Bird Born.

That's because Bird Born only finished the series about a year ago, so if they look like comic drawings starring cats and dogs you remember reading as a kid you're probably thinking of Garfield or Heathcliff.

It's easy to mistake Bird Born's comical cells for some cute strip from yesteryear, because there's just something so classic about his comics!

Man Experiences Happiest Moment Of His Life When He Finds Rare Magic Card

For many Magic: The Gathering is more than just a card game- it's a passion, an obsession, and a set of playable cards they'll be collecting for the rest of their lives.

Many non-gamers assumed the MTG trend would fade away like Pokemon or Yu-gi-oh, but they were unaware of the power Magic cards have to change a player's life.

(Skip to around 8:00 to see the discovery)

To be fair the Black Lotus card discovered by openboosters in the video is an extremely rare card released around 1993 and valued at over $27,000, but how's he going to feel if he loses with that card in his deck?
