Where is a gamer to go when they have a weird experience while playing a multiplayer game online?

I consider myself to be an intermediate level illustrator after attending art school, and I know if I put in the time and effort my skill level would increase, perhaps one day to an advanced level.

But before I went to art school I found drawing to be frustrating, humiliating and a skill that was impossible to improve, which turned out to be self doubt overshadowing my progress.

I wish I'd known overthinking would affect my progress as an artist, and that the path to becoming a better illustrator is not a straight line but rather a jagged one, full of highs and lows.

That's why I found this inspirational illustrated instructional comic strip thingy by Jacob Andrews to be a very-very good read for a budding artist, especially this bit about the ups and downs of drawer life.

The bond between a child and their imaginary friend is strong, and even though kids eventually outgrow  their imaginary friend they, and their parents, never forget their special time together.

But what about all the unimagined friends waiting for a kid to summon them from Imagination Land and give them imaginary life? For them life continues to feel flat and colorless, as they wait to get called up to the imagination big leagues...

Introverts may act like they want nothing to do with other people, but just like every other human being on Earth introverts need love and attention too- and it also helps if they have a caretaker.

As someone who has been both the introvert and the caretaker I can tell you caretakers are an essential part of an introvert's life, and without them some introverts would reach ultimate introversion level and disappear from society altogether.

Body modders look to indigenous tribes from around the world for inspiration, and even though many of their mods seem new and freaky tribal people consider such mods to be sacred- and they've been altering their bodies for centuries.

Kayan women in Thailand and Burma use rings to elongate their necks, a sign of beauty and high social standing in the tribe, and when Sydney "Giraffe Woman" Smith saw their necks she liked the look. Plus she's always been obsessed with giraffes.

So for five long years Sydney slowly but surely added ring after ring to her neck in an attempt to elongate it- Kayan women usually sport 20-25 rings, but Sydney only made it to 15 rings before she gave up.

Sydney says the rings made her feel isolated from the rest of humanity, turning her into nothing but the bearer of rings:

"I spent five years of my life with rings around my neck and I just became very introverted and isolated and felt like the rings were taking over my life in every way.

"Unless you are willing to completely isolate yourself and you're a trust fund baby and don't ever need to leave the house, don't ever need to drive, then maybe you can pull it off.

"It was always about the rings, it wasn't about Sydney anymore. I tried sticking my neck out to make it work but logic kicked in after a while."

"I miss the sensation of the weight on the collarbones, which was in a weird way very comforting."

Surprisingly the rings didn't really elongate her neck much at all, and despite some bruising and weakened muscles they also didn't cause any long term damage.

When Cherry trees, Jacarandas and Wisteria trees are in full bloom they are so bright and beautiful they're impossible to ignore, and it seems the older the tree the more beautiful the blooms.

The Wisteria tree above is from Japan, and in its 144 years of life it has grown to be the largest and most gorgeous wisteria in Japan at 1990 square meters.

The Rhododendron isn't technically a tree (they're actually considered shrubs), but this 125-year-old Rhododendron is so large and lovely nobody has the heart to tell it it's not a tree!

And even though this Japanese Maple tree lives in Portland, Oregon it still seems to be thriving- and filling the forest with fantastic color.

When John Cleese and his ex-wife/co-star Connie Booth created the TV comedy Fawlty Towers he didn't expect the show to overshadow his work on Monty Python's Flying Circus, nor did he expect his portrayal of Basil Fawlty to become part of comedy history.

But despite BBC exectutives doubt and initial low ratings Fawlty Towers went on to become one of the most popular Britcoms of all time, and it all started when Cleese met "the rudest man I've ever come across in my life" at the Gleneagles Hotel in Torquay:

While shooting Monty Python’s Flying Circus, John Cleese and the rest of the Monty Python team stayed at the Gleneagles Hotel in Torquay, where they were constantly berated by the eccentric hotel owner Donald Sinclair...Sinclair, who was known for being in a perpetually high state of anxiety, apparently threw Eric Idle’s briefcase into the street as soon as the team arrived, claiming it could be a bomb. He chastised Terry Gilliam for holding his silverware incorrectly and knocked on Michael Palin’s door to ask whether he meant to put up his “Do Not Disturb” sign.

According to The Spectator, “He’d be furious if a teapot meant for four was placed on a table for two. He marched about in his dressing-gown berating guests for wanting hot water to heat a baby’s bottle, early alarm calls, late suppers, or if they requested a taxi. ‘Why?’ he’d howl incredulously, taking a step back, his jaw dropping. If you went out late he might yell after you, ‘And where do you think you’re going?’”

While others might have found Sinclair’s outbursts off-putting, Cleese was inspired. When he began working on ideas for a television show, Sinclair’s antics immediately popped back into his mind, and he decided to model Basil Fawlty and his wife Sybil after Sinclair and his wife Beatrice.

There's a bunny in Japan who won't let their human stop petting them, and he throws a tantrum when the stroking stops, which apparently isn't an uncommon rabbit behavior.

But as far as I know most owls don't care much for physical interaction with humans, so they certainly don't strike me as the type of animal sitting around waiting to be stroked by some human.

However Nicha, the cute little pet owl in this video, is both a fan of people and petting, and she complains loudly every time her human stops scratching her cute little head.
