So they are increasing the square footage of second floor interior living space without increasing the building's footprint. Nice! They'll find a way to tax that soon.
At a radio station in Paris, Tennessee, there was a bathroom at the front for women (because all the office workers were women) and a bathroom at the back for men (because all the on-air folks were men, except me). I played oldies from the 30s-40s-50s and the average song was about two minutes long. I had to plan ahead to make a run down that hallway to the front and back, and woe to anyone who stood in the way!
But I was young then. Now, I'd just use the men's room.
A man in his 20s is within his rights to decide if and when he wants to eat. He should be buying his own groceries, anyway, or at least cooking for his parents. It seems like the time to solve this problem was ten to twenty years ago.
I love New York. I once considered moving there for a radio job, but after calculating how much lower my standard of living would be (compared to being completely jobless in Kentucky) I couldn't do that to my kids.
What an oddly-written article. It was halfway down the page when they finally mentioned what the library WILL offer -ebooks (except for a mention of helping kids with homework). So it's really not a "bookless" library, but an "electronic library."
But I was young then. Now, I'd just use the men's room.
