Abercrombie & Fitch markets to children. Mine couldn't get enough of the brand name (and American Eagle and Aeropostale) until they were about 13, then they outgrew it, psychologically. Cool is a lot more than wearing a label to announce that you're a certain size (as if that weren't already apparent). And the price doesn't mean much, at least where I live, because Goodwill is full of those clothes.

The average household income in my county is $21,195. I guess you could save half of that somehow, but having any savings at all would make a family ineligible for food stamps and Medicaid, which would be hard if you're trying to live on $11K a year. And it still wouldn't be enough to fund a 50 year retirement.

Bathrooms were once built with a slot in the wall to put old razor blades. When you remodel an older home, be careful tearing the bathroom wall out near the sink, you may get an avalanche of old blades. It happened to me once.

I recall going to the library and browsing, and I saw probably a dozen books named Apollo 13. The one named Lost Moon stood out, and I read it and enjoyed it. Then within a year, it was made into a movie. Apollo 13 made more sense in a movie title, because there wasn't any other movie about Apollo 13.
