I've noticed with our cats, that every time we get a new kitten, the youngest adult cat will take a special interest and become the kitten's parent figure/playmate, and those relationships last for life. I feel sorry for my oldest cat, as the two links in the chain after her are cats that are no longer here. She's a loner among the cats.
Maybe so, but the tab button on my old typewriter used to work exactly as it was supposed to, and I've never been able to do that on a computer. I had to do columns like this all the time in college, and we had no computers.
Right after I posted this, I went outside to pick vegetables. It's cloudy, hot, and unbelievably humid, and I was attacked by more than the usual number of mosquitoes. And it bothered me way more than it normally does.
A couple of years ago, one of my kids got really excited when a teacher shared something with the class from Neatorama. Later, she told the teacher her mom worked for the website. The teacher just said something like that's nice, and obviously did not believe her.
