I always called my husband by his name, unless we were alone. Otherwise, how would I get his attention? Or how would anyone else know who I'm talking to? Maybe that's a function of having so many kids.

I always assumed that "fundamental" meant things that couldn't be further broken down. When I last studied physics (in elementary school) protons and neutrons were fundamental.

Personally, I will still buy the biggest turkey I can find, even with fewer family members. I love leftover turkey sandwiches! I strip the bird after dinner and freeze whatever I can't eat in the next few days, and leave enough time between getting packs out of the freezer so that I don't get tired of it.

In Kentucky, when a coal company ruins the landscape and makes it impossible for people to thrive there, they generally just walk away, go out of business, or otherwise take no responsibility. In a hyper-capitalist country, the Ruhr Valley would be a lake.
