I had one husband I didn't sleep with regularly, but it wasn't because I didn't want to be with him; it was because he was very large and an insomniac. It just wasn't the optimum arrangement for sleep.

I find it hard to wrap my head around this design. Are those upper rooms accessible from another hall? Did they used to have a continuous balcony for access? Do rooms with two doors cost more? And why is there so much wasted space?

This picture also illustrates how the cougar's unique bulbous snout is an optical illusion caused by the color markings of a normal cougar. I would have had a hard time identifying this cat as a cougar because of that.

The animal is a caribou in North America, and a reindeer in Europe. I don't know which term is proper in an island off Greenland, nor where the animal fur originally came from.

The winter solstice festival predates the Christian holiday. It's a cold climate thing, wanting to light up the long nights, bring nature into the home, eat high-calorie preserved food, etc. It's only natural to party when you can't work outside and the weather is depressing. Christians found it and used it for Jesus' birthday commemoration, so the holiday is both secular and sacred, depending on how you want to use it.

I always called my husband by his name, unless we were alone. Otherwise, how would I get his attention? Or how would anyone else know who I'm talking to? Maybe that's a function of having so many kids.
