I guess we could have changed the title to 12 Books That Have (Ironically) Been Banned Somewhere or Many Places in the U.S. at One Time or Another Or Maybe Several Times, but that's awfully long.
When I first saw the title of this article (before I read it), the image that came to me was that Disney cartoon where Mickey, Goofy, and Donald are so poor that they only had one bean. They cut it up in slices so thin you could see through them!
Just yesterday I told my daughter that people try to rip phone books apart to show off their strength. She'd never heard of such a thing. She thought I was pulling her leg!
