Johnny Cat's Comments

Since I bought this Three Keyboard Cat Moon shirt, I have been amazed by the increase in female attention I've been getting. The ladies just can't keep their hands off me and constantly want to "Play me off" if you know what I mean, and I think you do. ;)

Still waiting for citations from those who would call Uncle Walter a liar. But in the meantime check out CBS tonight when 60 Minutes would usually be on. I know I will.

Grew up with Walter telling how it was. This guy has been missed for awhile, although I thought Peter Jennings had a similar need to connect with the world. Unfortunately, they're both gone.

I specifically remember my Grandad insisting we all shut our mouths when the CBS News came on, and Cronkite told us how it was. He was like the Sinatra/Brando of the news.

Reminds me of that book they made us read in school: Dove. I think the stories compare nicely. From Amazon:

"In 1965, 16-year-old Robin Lee Graham began a solo around-the-world voyage from San Pedro, California, in a 24-foot sloop. Five years and 33,000 miles later, he returned to home port with a wife and daughter and enough extraordinary experiences to fill this bestselling book, Dove."

An amazing reminder of the constant sameness of the moon; the walk path is so eternal and cool. And I hate to be the Apollo Purist again, but that's not actually the Lunar Module, it's the descent stage that served as a launch pad for the LM.

@MyTake:

The thing about evolution is its inherent trait of entropy and Fail. Sometimes the forces of survival screw up and cause the extinction, like the species of bird that was having problems attracting females, so the males evolved to be more colorful, which attracted predators who destroyed the species.

So, humans can try grow and grow, but it'll probably just bite us in the ass. Besides, are we evolving? Really?
