:) These are known in the business as character actors. The phenomenon of the prominence of facial recognition to verbal reaction ratio though, that can be annoying. Try watching a movie with someone who recognizes the guy in that one scene... oh he's the guy from that one movie (what is it?) it's driving me nuts... etc.

One of my favs is this guy David Bowe. He went from UHF to commercial domination, but also turns up in movies from time to time.
