Travel the High Seas With Your Fellow Geeks!

If you've been thinking about going on a cruise but have been waiting until you found one that was best suited to your geeky interests, then I have good news for you -you now have two different nerdtastic options. Option #1 is this year's Comic Con At Sea, which will be taking place in June. This floating convention will offer guests from Star Trek, Supernatural, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Battlestar Galactica, Stargate, Justified and more as it arrives to an array of famous European destinations including Rome, Barcelona and Naples.

For those who prefer their travel to have a little more levity, Musician Jonathan Coulton has just announced plans for his sixth annual JoCo Cruise. This Caribbean cruise will depart next February and while most guests have yet to be announced, travelers are promised a bevy of comedic, musical and geeky entertainment -including a 24-hour tabletop gaming room. So my nerdy travellers, which one would you prefer to board?

Make Your Own Galaxy Easter Eggs

Earlier this week I wrote a list of 10 cool ways to decorate your eggs this Easter, but if none of those seemed up your alley, perhaps you're looking for something a little more... heavenly. Well then these eggs from Dream A Little Bigger are sure to help. These beautifully spacy eggs are filled with stars, nebulas and more.

The process is surprisingly simple -though quite messy, and the results are absolutely striking.

Peeps Skillet S'mores Make Easter Droolworthy

There are a lot of people out there who find Peeps just too sugary with no depth of flavor. These Peeps peanutbutter chocolate skillet s'mores featured on How Sweet It Is offer a wonderful way to fix that problem.

Not only is the sugary-sweetness of the Peeps slightly negated by the other ingredients, but the pure sugar on the outside of the marshmallows is given a chance to break down and caramelize, making the Peeps themselves more complex and delicious. Whether you love Peeps or hate them, if you like s'mores, you'd probably love this recipe. I know I'm going to run out and buy some Peeps right now.

A Collection of Photos Of Cops Being Awesome

No matter how you feel about the police system in general, it's hard to deny that it can be hard to be a cop. Whether it's getting in the middle of a domestic violence dispute, witnessing a horrific crime scene or dealing with the painful monotomy of a small town with practically no crime, police have to deal with a lot.

Of course, some police have a sense of humor (and a soft spot) too and these great pictures on Mashable prove it.

The Best April Fool's Day Pranks of 2015

Yes, April Fool's Day is over and you're a jerk if you're still trying to pull any pranks on your friends or co-workers. But it's still not to late to enjoy some of the greatest April Fool's pranks performed by some of the biggest companies on the net.

Quite a few of the pranks revolve around making prouducts for pets, which is pretty typical of the internet. But I still kind of wish Groupon's transportation service that uses feline drivers was a real thing.

That being said, there were far too many "pranks" that seem more like things that will exist in a short period of time -like the KINDLR dating service that will match you based on the books you like or the muscle business shirt above. Perhaps most depressingly is Twitter's selfie stick that promises to auto-post your selfies to Twitter -I think every teen I've seen over the last year would love that.

Inventions That Make Hair In A Can Seem Brilliant

They say necessity of the mother of invention and while it certainly plays a role in most good creations, there are others inventions that must have been borne from madness, arogance or just plain stupidity. TopTenz has compiled an excellent list of just such creations ranging from the car spittoon (above) to a Razr phone that is actually equipped with a working electric razor.

Of course, not everything that seems to be an immediate failure is actually worthless. TNT is on the list not because the invention was a failure, but because it was not very good at its initial purpose, which was to work as a yellow dye. Personally, I'm glad that didn't work out as I'd hate to be wearing a tee shirt that could explode at any given time.

When Bats Go Bananas, We All Win

(Video Link)

Contrary to popular belief, bats can be absolutely adorable. We at Neatorama have proven this time and time again with cute videos and photos of baby bats. And here's another one! Just look at little Frank here trying to eat a banana bigger than his head and you'll see why we're batty over bats.

If you too have gone bananas over these adorable little batties, then head over to their Facebook or main webpage to learn how you can help the little critters.

Forget Futons, These Are More Like Cute-ons

I don't know about you guys, but ever since watching Despicable Me, I've dreamed of having a Minion of my own. I don't mean a traditional minion that helps me acheive my evil goals -(though that would be nice too), but a cute yellow Minion that loves bananas and talks in non-sensical gibberish. While that may be an impossibility for now, at least I can settle for the next best thing thanks to Etsy seller SleepingPalace, who makes full-sized minion beds for geeks like me to snuggle in.

For those that instead have a soft spot for a certain friendly neighbor, SleepingPalace also offers Totoro beds for you to cuddle up with. As for me, I think I'll take one of each.

10 DIY Ways to Decorate Your Easter Eggs

Easter is almost here and if you're tired of simple rainbow colored eggs but don't have the skills to turn your own eggs into works of art, then you're in luck. We've rounded up some of the coolest DIY Easter egg directions so you can make something truly unique this holiday no matter what your skill level.

Simple Patterns

These beautiful eggs look like they took forever to color, but in actuality, they just took a short bath in boiling water and vinegar while wrapped up in a silk tie. The tie releases an array of colors that make your eggs look like works of art. Our Best Bites has the full tutorial.

Felted Easter Eggs

Felting eggs isn't particularly easy, but this tutorial by MakeZine shows it is much easier than it looks. In fact, you'll be amazed how quickly you can master the skill and create beautiful decorations you can use year after year.

Shabby Chic

This tutorial on Sylwia Serwin isn't in English, but it has so many images that you could probably replicate the process without even turning on Google translate. Essentially, you use a dremel, 3D paint, sandpaper and Mod Podge to make a simple egg look like an antique Easter decoration.

Finally R2-D2 Gets A Chance to Kick Butt

Poor little R2. Not only are his words eternally censored, he's also stuck rolling around on some wheeled legs that are useless in the heat of battle. Now, thanks to Yamaguchi Katuhisa, he can finally live out his fantasies of being the butt-kicking machine he always wanted to be.

It's about time the little droid got to express himself and defend his friends! Of course, leave it to c-3P0 to turn a little robot's dreams into something mildly distrubing.

Han Burgundy is My New Hero

I'm not sure if you guys know this or not, but Han Burgundy, aka Ron Solo, is kind of a big deal. People know him. He's smuggled many leather-bound books and his ship smells of space mohogany.

Who would have guessed that my favorite smuggler and my favorite anchorman could work so darn well together? Only Spaceboycomics, I guess.

What Happens When You Plate Junk Food Like Gourmet Meals

Opinions on junk food vary greatly, but few people argue that most of them look particularly tasty in their native environments. When junk food is in the hands of chef Jacques Lamerde though, it becomes just as beautiful as the most gourmet meal.

His descriptions take things a step further, making the plates sound like something you'd see on a fine dining restaurant's menu, not just simple Pop Tarts or Hot Pockets.

For example the image at top reads, "HAY BAKED HOT POCKETS W/ HIDDEN VALLEY BACON RANCH SPHERES AND A PUREE OF ZOODLES (WHOLE WHEAT)." The middle image is "“RASPBERRY POPTART PARFAIT W/ VANILLA SNACKPACK + GRAPE CRUSH SCENTED GEL AND ENHANCED W/ MIKE N IKES, CRY BABIES AND FRUITY MENTOS.” And finally the last one, "DUNKIN MUNCHKINS, BIRTHDAY CAKE OREO SOIL, SNICKERS HACHÉ, SHAMROCK SHAKE FLUID GEL!!!"
