Remember the cronut? Well the genius behind that culinary creation, Dominique Ansel, has also developed a new and whimiscal creation that may not blow your mind flavorwise, but is certainly one of the most beautiful ways to enjoy a hot chocolate. That's because it features a marshmallow that blooms into a flower, only to reveal a chocolate truffle on the inside. Time to add this to your food bucket list.

Thirsty and away from home? Don't want to buy a drink? Well, up until now you're stuck drinking out of a boring old water fountain, but if you happen to be in the small town of Caldari di Ortona, Italy, you can always visit the wine fountain instead. That's thanks to the Dora Sarchese Vineyard, who wants the fountain to serve as road side attraction and filling station for thirsty religious pilgrims on the way to Ortona, where the body of the disciple Thomas is said to be kept. Something tells me it will also serve as a destination for wine pilgrims seeking to find something new and wonderful in the world of wine.

When a man loves a kitty very, very much, sometimes he has to celebrate that love in strange ways -no, get your mind out of the gutter, it's not like that! David and Sarah (his human partner and photographer) are the peopole behind the wildly entertaining Movie Cats Instagram.
So far the couple has only done five of their movie parodies, but the couple promises that they will continue adding more pictures every few weeks. You can't blame them for taking their time either when you see the incredible amount of detail they put into every image.
So keep up with their adventures on Instagram.

We all have bad days -sometimes even bad weeks. When you feel down though, dogs can cheer you up and this Buzzfeed article is filled with all kinds of dog pictures sure to make you smile.
Yes, dogs are beautiful souls and their pure nature (and occassional stupidity) are all you need to cheer up.
I don't know about you guys, but I'm bookmarking this page to help me feel better on those truly terrible days.
Everyone occassionally gets that one itch they can't scratch -even bears. While it's annoying to deal with your own unreachable itch, it's quite delightful to watch bears reach for those scratches.

It's arguable about whether or not this is the largest sushi roll or ever as it has to compete against the longest (8,273 feet long) roll, but either way, it still is pretty damn impressive. This crazy beast was built by the Sushi Chef Institute for a Japanese Food Festival. You gotta admit that having sushi that's so massive it has to be cut like a cake is certainly a unique experience if nothing else.

When we're little, we tend to think everyone and everything is just like us -until we learn otherwise from experience. This little elephant is going through just such a moment as he tries to understand why this weird human creature doesn't have a proper nose. Elephants rub each other's trunks the same way humans give hugs, so he's trying to show love -he just doesn't quite know how with this weird creature that can't trunk-hug him back.

We tend to think of plants as innocent little nothings, but some plants can kill you in no time. This TopTenz list of deadly plants features some of the usual suspects like deadly nightshade and hemlock, but it also includes some surprises like oleander, which is a landscaping plant many people have without any idea of its dangerous properties.
Traveling is great, but it's also expensive -at least, most of the time. If you don't have a big budget though, you can still visit nice places. In fact, this Travel and Leisure article has 10 different places that will cost you under $25 a day to visit. Of course, you have to pay to get to the destinations, but the site was even kind enough to include an average cost to fly to the locales from either Los Angeles or New York City.
Sometimes we just want to believe there is something more out there -that if we just try a little harder we can finally get what we've been dreaming of for years. This sweet puppy feels the same way and he knows that if he just keeps trying, he'll get that bone at the bottom of his bowl eventually.
Keep on reaching for greatness little guy, we believe in you!!!
Many people still think the cheetah is the world's fastest animal, but it's really only the fastest land animal. Until recently, the correct answer was the swift, but now even people who said that are inncorrect -the fastest animal on earth is actually the Brazilian free-tailed bat. The cheetah can go up to 40 miles per hour. The swift can go up to 62 miles an hour, but the free-tailed bat blows them both out of the water, traveling an incredible 99 miles an hour. There is one challenger to the bat's title though -peregrine falcons can travel 186 miles per hour, but they can only go that fast while diving. So if you're going by overall speed, the falcon wins, but if you only count straight forward movement that could be used for travel -the bat is your safest bet.
The internet is going crazy wondering if this adorable fuzzball is a cat or a dog. It's so hard to tell with that fluffy face and grumbly mouth. I'm not going to give away the answer just yet, but I can tell you his name is Atchoum and he lives with his family in Canada -and here's another picture:
So which is he? Well, he is actually a cat, but not just any kitty. He's a Persian that happens to have hypertrichosis -aka werewolf syndrome.

Leston Lawrence worked at the Canadian Mint for over seven years melting gold, purifying it and then testing it. The test samples are scooped out with a ladle and the resulting gold peices (about the width of an Oreo and three time as thick) are then returned to the vat. Or at least, that's how things are supposed to work, but Lawrence smuggled out over 22 of those pucks over the course of 3 months. He even set off the metal detectors while leaving the mint, but the smaller handheld detectors never went off.
It turns out that Lawrence kept latex gloves and Vaseline in his locker and he smuggled the gold out in his backside. The mint's handheld detectors weren't sensitive enough to detect the gold inside of his body.
Lawrence only got caught when a bank teller noticed he was cashing checks from an overseas gold buyer and that he worked at the mint. I guess they need some stronger metal detectors or a more hands-on approach if they want to stop this from happening again.
