Groom and His Groomsmen Dress Up As McDonald's Food

In Singapore it is traditional for grooms to show up at their bride-to-be's house before a wedding and participate in silly tasks at the request of the bridesmaids. Chen Guanyou must not have thought that didn't sound quite exciting enough on its own, so he decided to show up with his groomsmen all dressed in McDonald's costumes. Maybe it was a last hurrah for his fast food fandom because his bride, Joanna Tan, actually hates fast food -at least she was a good sport about the whole thing.

The Brooklyn Bar That Offers Free Drinks to Men Willing to Cut Off Their Man Buns

Pretty much everyone knows that man buns are awful, but those that have not yet gotten the message can be encouraged to cut off their buns in exchange for free alcohol. Of course, you have to be in Brooklyn, but if you are (and you happen to have the much-hated hairstyle), The Boobie Trap is happy to give you a full bottle of alcohol if you'll ditch the bun in the bar.

Finally a chance to get rid of an incredibly regretable fashion decision and forget about it all at the same time!

Each State's Favorite Netflix Show

We all love a good Netflix binge, but different places have different interests. Now you can see what Netflix show your state watches more than any other.

Not every show on the list is a Netflix original, but many of them are, like Narcos, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Fuller House. A few trends really stand out throughout the country. For example, Orange is the New Black and Scandal are certainly the most popular overall.

Obviously the map is a little small here, so see the whole thing here.

Redditors Share Their Most Horrific Medical Stories

Redditor AgentSmith420 asked the physicians of the site what the worst injury they ever saw during a routine check up. Unsurprisingly, many of the contributors weren't actually physicians and some of the stories weren't actually routine checkups, but despite this, the good majority of the responses are absolutely cringe-inducing. Perhaps the most horrifying one:

My brother once jumped on the front of my white car, grabbing the front pillars with his hands. I closed the door and caught his finger, which he pulled out quickly (as you do) but there was a tiny chip of paint that had come off the car and got lodged under the skin somehow. He must have spent a week or so chewing on it to try to get the paint out, but it just wasn't working so he went to the doctor to see if he could help. After checking it out, the doctor tells him, "The reason you can't get that out is because it's your bone."

Apparently when I shut the door on his finger, I'd broken the tip of his pinkie enough so he could see the bone through the skin and he'd spent the next few days trying to pull his own finger bone out with his teeth.

Another scary story:

My father is a radiologist, and told us a story one day: patient walks in his clinic complaining about a headache after a transatlantic flight. Since there are no obvious causes, a CT is performed. Turns out he has a broken neck that just did not sever his spinal cord yet. He got immediately fixated and apparently survived without major complications.

The Romantic Bath Bomb Wedding Proposal

Twitter user @kassidyrun1's boyfriend gave her a bath bomb on Christmas. It took her five days to get around to using it, but when she did, she discovered quite the surprise inside.

As it turns out, the clever man managed to order a custom made bath bomb with a bubble in the middle that was holding a promise ring.

The proposal is quite a clever idea and while it seems risky, the company that makes them, Pearl Bath Bombs, adds a random ring worth up to $30 inside each bath bomb. They then also include redemption contest codes in each one that can be entered at that site and reveal a ring worth up to $5,000 -but this way you won't lose one of the lucky expensive rings in the tub.

Everyone Needs a Niffler Necklace

Fans of Fantastic Beasts fell madly in love with the adorable little thief known as Niffler who just wants to get his little hands all over any thing shinny. While you can't have your own actual fantastic beast, you can get your hands on this precious jewelry version made by Aisha Voya -or at least you could if the pre-sale wasn't already completely sold out.

Of course, that was just the pre-sale, so with any luck maybe the cute critter will appear on her Etsy page in the future (or maybe she'll at least be willing to take custom order for them.

The Most Angering Restaurant Employee Agreement Ever

Almost everyone knows that waiters and waitresses aren't the most well-paid employees around, but seeing an employment contract that charges them every time they give male customers straws, fail to say "hi" or "bye" to customers or take out their cellphone is particularly shocking. Redditor 00generic posted this absurd employment contract that her cousin was asked to sign, noting that the restaurant already fired one employee who refused to sign.

Needless to say, other Redditors were not happy about the employer's requirements and many pointed out that the company may be breaking the law.

Disney Princesses Reimagined As Potatoes

These days, we have seen Disney princesses reimagined as just about every possible thing. Many of these have become downright silly, which is why this Imgur series is just so damn delightful.

Recognizing some of the silly potato characters is a fun game -the one at the top is obviously Pocahontas, the one above is Elsa from Frozen, lastly, the final one is Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.

I think we may have finally seen the most absurd version of the reimagined princesses trend, which is saying a lot. You can see the rest of the series at Imgur.

Geek Icons Unmasked

Artist Alex Solis' Icons Unmasked series imagines famous geek icons (mostly cartoons) being unmasked as other characters. Each of the illustrations seems approriate though not always for the same reason.

He's made over 112 pieces in the series and who knows how many more he will add. You can see the rest of the series here.

Can You Tell the Difference Between These Commonly Mistaken Animals?

Can you tell the difference between an alligator and a crocodile? How about a leopard and a cheetah? Do you know if the animal above is a llama or an alpaca? This Buzzfeed quiz tests your animal knowledge by asking you to do exactly those things. I'm a pretty big animal nerd and I only got 7 out of 10, so don't expect the test to be easy.

So test your animal identification skills here.

Say "Hello" to the New World's Tallest Dog

Freddy was the runt of the litter when he was born, but he's certainly grown up since then. In fact, now he's the world's tallest dog -when he stands up on his back legs, he measures a whopping 7'5" tall! Guinness announced their new record holder in late December.

The Cat That Thinks Its A Husky

Back in 2014 we featured a husky that was raised around cats and thus, thought it was a cat, but as it turns out, we now know the opposite can be true too. Meet Rosie, a cat that was abandoned at only three weeks old and raised in a home with a surrogate mother husky who happens to be good friends with a few other huskies who live in the neighborhood. The kitty survived thanks to its surrogate family, but Rosie never learned what it's like to be a cat. Instead, she thinks she's just a slightly smaller dog.

Like her dog buddies, Rosie likes to go hiking, swimming, kayaking and more -basically whatever her humans and dog friends are up to, she wants to be a part of it.

You can keep up on this cute kitty's adventures, and those of her friends, over on Instagram.

Benedict Cumberbatch is a Distant Relative of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

It turns out that Benedict Cumberbatch may have been born to play Sherlock Holmes. Researchers have recently discovered that he is actually a distant relative (16th cousins, twice removed to be exact) of Mr. Holmes' creator, Conan Doyle. Of course, that is pretty distant. To put it in perspective, their last common ancestor was John of Gaunt, the duke of Lancaster, who lived in the 14th century.

Researchers from Ancestry.com discovered the connection in their free time simply because they love the Sherlock series, which returned yesterday by the way. According to Fox, the website has not yet told the actor about the connection.
