Yum Sugar recently came out with a list of official dishes for each U.S. state. Oregon, for example, is Marion berry pie. My state, California, has Cobb salad listed as the food of choice. Over all, they seem pretty accurate to me, but I haven't been to every state of the nation.

When the guys from the show Tanked were asked to make a special machine for a guy who loved old pinball machines and aquariums, they immediately suggested creating a functional pinball machine that also served as an aquarium. It was definitely a bit of a project, as you can see in the video, but the end result was simply amazing and something any gamer would love to have in his or her pad.
2. A Broken XBox 360
For those without the money or space for an old pinball machine, this Xbox aquarium by Blue Water Aquariums is a pretty sweet alternative. The small saltwater aquarium is home to live corals, fish, crabs, snails and shrimp. No word on how much it costs, but I’m willing to bet they’d custom make one for any geeky fish fan with enough cash.
Instructables user pbecker83 had a PC that was too old to still do much computing, so he turned it into an aquarium. Best of all, because the glass doesn’t take up much space inside the tower, the PC can still be turned on. To ensure the heat of the computer wouldn’t hurt the fishes, he made sure to get tropical beta fish that are totally comfortable with the water reaching 78 degrees –which is as hot as the PC gets when on. Of course, since the computer is so old, he really only uses it as a webcam to capture the faces of people enjoying the tank.

Mutts sometimes get a bad rap because they are less predictable and lack the supposedly superior genetics of purebreds, but scientists have performed multiple studies showing that mixed breed dogs are actually much healthier and often live longer than their purebred counterparts. While there is no definitive answer as to which is better because everyone’s opinion will be based on personal and subjective criteria, there is no doubt that many of us have a soft spot in our hearts for the old “Heinz 57 dogs.” In honor of Mutt’s Day, let’s take a look at some of the most famous mixed-breed pooches in history.
Spike from Old Yeller
Whether you prefer purebreds or mutts, here’s one that’s made practically everyone cry. The Old Yeller featured in the book was most likely a Black Mouth Cur, although the breed is never mentioned by name in the book. In fact, the breed hadn’t been officially named or established at the time the book was set.
Regardless of the dog’s depiction in the book, the pooch that starred in the film adaptation was most certainly a mutt. Animal trainer Frank Weatherwax discovered the Labrador retriever/mastiff mix in the Van Nuys animal shelter when the pup was still a youngster. Eventually Spike grew to be Weatherwax’s star pupil and one of his largest stars –literally, Spike weighed about 170 pounds when he was full grown!
Aside from making us all cry in Old Yeller, he also made plenty of people cry in 1959’s A Dog of Flanders. Not all of his roles were tearjerkers though. Spike also appeared in the schlocky 1956 B-movie The She-Creature and on The Mickey Mouse Club.
Perhaps the next most famous mutt in the world also was adopted by a professional animal trainer from a shelter in Los Angeles. Trainer Frank Inn was a big fan of adopting animals that were on death row from the animal shelter and then seeing if he could get them to act. If they didn’t take to training well, he would then work to get one of his friends or fans to take in the critter.
He happened to run across a spaniel mix named Higgins at a shelter in Burbank and was immediately taken in by the puppy’s expressive eyes. Inn never once had to consider finding a new home for the pup as Higgins was the ideal student and had an incredibly expressive face. His first role was on Petticoat Junction and the pooch did so well that he appeared in six out of the show’s seven total seasons. One show wasn’t enough for Higgins though, so he also made cameos on Green Acres and The Beverly Hillbillies.
According to Inn, Higgins was not only the most skilled dog he had ever worked with, but he could also learn a new routine every week. He could climb ladders, open mail boxes and even yawn on cue. His last role was supposed to be Mooch Goes to Hollywood in 1971, but he actually came back out of retirement four years later to star in Benji. When he died three years later, his legacy lived on, as his daughter, Benjean, continued to star in the Benji sequels.
It might not be the most famous sitcom in history, but those that did watch Mad About You all remember Murray, the lovable, bratty and slightly-stupid puppy that stole every scene he appeared in. Murray’s real name was Maui and the dog was rescued from a shelter in Los Angeles by animal trainer Boone Narr.
Aside from starring in a sitcom, Maui also appeared in a number of commercials and as a stand-in for the star dog in the movie Bingo.

We've featured a lot of artwork from Gallery 1988, and while it's all pretty cool, the problem is that if you don't live near L.A., you probably won't be able to go see any of the shows yourself.
That's why the Breaking Gifs art show is so awesome. It's an online art show presented by Gallery 1988 and AMCm celebrating the awesomeness of Breaking Bad. The "exhibits" are presented in the shape of the periodic table of elements and only a few have been released so far, but all of the ones out there so far, including the chart above by Dave Perillo, are pretty darn awesome.
