We're Officially In Love With The Gamorrean Pug Guard

Remember Chubbs, the cute little pug that was banthapug and a wampug the last few Halloweens? OK, you probably don't, but you should because Chubbs is pretty much the cutest pug in costume ever.

Anyway, here she is in his newest geeky Halloween costume, a Gamorrean pug guard. If you absolutely can't get enough of her costumes, you won't want to miss this great interview with her owner, Kristen, over at Geek Mom. She discusses her past costumes and the process that goes into creating her adorable outfits. You can also check out Wired's interview with Chubbs herself, which largely revolves around snackies.

UPDATE: Chubbs just posted this great video of the constume on our Facebook page and you won't want to miss it!

Eggs Cheesaddict Anyone?

How do you improve on the amazing, rich flavor of a heavenly eggs Benedict? Switch out that boring old English muffin for a grilled cheese sandwich. Or at least that's how Nick from Dude Foods does it and I like his line of thinking.

After all, an English muffin might have crispy nooks and crannies to catch all the gooey egg yolk and hollandaise sauce, but a grilled cheese sandwich has, well, grilled cheese and that's pretty much unbeatable. If you dig the flavor of butter, toast and a fried egg from an egg in a basket, then you'll love having those tastes combined with Canadian bacon, cheese and hollandaise. Though I think I'd reach for Swiss cheese over American.

The Rockin' Addams Family

(Video Link)

The Addams Family isn't just creepy and kooky, or even just spooky, they're also pretty gosh darn rocking -especially when The Human Tim gets a hold of it. The Human Tim has already taken on such classics as Duck Tales, but it's hard to beat the classic tune of the Addams Family, which might just be one of the most famous theme songs ever created.

And man, does Tim really make it rock -and the outfits were a perfect choice as well. Coincidentally, I'm going as Wednesday Addams tomorrow, so maybe I should download this and use it as my theme for the day.

14 Awesome Geeky Jack-O-Lanterns

Ready to carve your pumpkin just in time to put it on the porch before the trick or treaters show up? Then perhaps these 14 great geeky pumpkins on Make Us Of can provide you with a good source of inspiration. They have everything from comic book characters to Minecraft creepers to the Death Star blowing up. I'm a particularly big fan of this Guy Fawkes pumpkin that would make any member of Annonymous proud.

Of course, if you aren't much of an artist (I'm not either) then perhaps a V like the one from V is for Vendetta would be a little easier.

8 Bizarre Corn Snacks From Japan

Americans love their corn, but while we think of it as a staple of a basic diet, the Japanese think of it as a tasty novelty treat. In fact, InventorSpot has a great list of 8 crazy corn-based snacks you won't believe exist -like corn Kit Kats and corn sushi. Some of it has to be converted into soup before it's made into a snack first though. For example, KFC makes fried corn soup and a frozen treats company makes porridge popsicles.

If you really want to go weird though, try the corn porridge Ramune soda because nothing says refreshing like corn soup.

LadyBird, Chip and Deeds Rule Halloween

While most of our cute animal photos have been emailed to us, but today Heather Arment sent in pictures through our Facebook -hey, if cute pictures get to us, we're happy no matter what the delivery system.

LadyBird, Chip and Deeds are all rescues from Seattle’s Ginger’s Pet Rescue, and they have some of the best Halloween costumes we've ever seen -or at least the best variety of costumes. They have taken on everything from What Does the Fox Say to Clockwork Orange to Goonies. They might not get the references from these costumes, but they look pretty damn fantastic either way and I think they know it.

Tia Makes Quite the Daisy

What happens when you mix a doggy sweatsuit and a few felt petals? You get an adorable little flower that might not be all too happy about being a cute little daisy. Reader Renee Davies sent in this picture of her little Tia, her little chihuahua wiener dog all  dolled up as a lovely flower. Tia might not seem too happy about the situation, but she certainly looks adorable.

There's still time to send in your critter in costume to jill@neatorama.com, I'm be happy to post cuties like this all year long.

15 Animals That Love Flowers

What's better than a photo of cute critters? How about cute critters and flowers? This collection of cute images from Pet's Lady is worth bookmarking whether you want to have a quick set of pictures sure to put a smile on your face when you're having a bad day or if you want to have easy access to romantic images sure to put a smile on your special someone's face.

After all, how could anyone stay down with a cute pup like this offering up a stem of flowers?

Or with a frog hanging out on a lovely lily like this?

Til Death Do You...Oh, Nevermind

We recently spotted a bride and groom to be getting slaughtered by Jason, but if that still wasn't a gory enough couple, perhaps you'd prefer this great wedding cake featuring both the bride and the groom decapitated. Now that's romantic. After all, few people really mean "til' death do us part" when they say it in their vows.

The lovely bride and groom held their wedding at the famous Alamo Drafthouse, which seems an ideal venue for such an "alternative" wedding couple.

Dinosaurs Made From Jack-O-Lanterns

We've seen plenty of elaborately carved pumpkins before, but never a set of pumpkins that make up one image so large -or so delightfully geeky as a dinosaur skeletion. It's like a Halloween version of a natural history museum.

These cool dino creations were featured at the Great Jack-O-Lantern Blaze in New York this year. While they apparently always have some dinosaurs, there were more than ever this year in all shapes and sizes.

The event features over 5,000 pumpkin carvings including a tunnel o' pumpkin love and jack-in-the-boxes that actually pop out real pumpkins.

Who You Gonna Call? Ghostcutie!

Cooper here was included in our June roundup of cute baby cosplayers in his cute little Delorean stroller and Marty McFly getup. Now he's back and geeky as ever with his revamped pushcart that's now decked out like the Ecto-1. And Cooper is all ready to be slimed and fight Vigo the Carpathian with his cuteness and plush pack and ghost trap.

Impressively, the pushcart is cusomized with pretty much nothing but cardboard, tape, paint, plastic bottles, LEDs and plastic salsa cups which shows you don't need fancy materials to make something totally awesome for your Halloween costume and accessories.

Cooper is a Boo-tiful Halloween Budgie

I've been asking people to send in images of their pets in costumes all month, but I can't say how excited I was to get a non-dog in my inbox this morning -especially a birdie since we so rarely get to see birds in costume. Cooper here is all ready for Halloween this year, whether it means flying without wings but on a broom as a sweet little witch or hunting vampires with stakes, crosses and holy water.

Thanks Michelle Mckee for introducing us to Budgie the Vampire Slayer and the parakeet witch of the west. You can keep up on Cooper's adventures at her website.

More Wonderful Animals Ready to Celebrate Halloween

Today I was so excited to find all kinds of adorable Halloween animal images in my inbox (jill@neatorama.com) and I can't wait to see what comes in over the next few days as Halloween edges closer and closer. First off, we have little Banjo the sheriff sent in by reader Jan, who cuddled the sherrif, but did not cuddle the dupty.

(Video Link)

Then we have a video of little Tommy dressed as an ewok with his pumpkin and his trick or treat bucket loaded with delicious biscuits. I really love the epic music put along with the almost shaking little chihuahua, as it really ups his shy cuteness level.

Wika Wika Wika Wookie: The Milennium Falcon Turntable

I have a curse on me. Every time I buy a turntable, it breaks. I have the same problem with sewing machines. My boyfriend has each of these and uses them without trouble, so I just rely on his since I can't have one of my own.

That being said, if I could own a turntable without it immediately breaking, I would certainly want to own this sweet Milennium Falcon one. Marco at Picotek Design made this sweet record player out of a busted Star Wars toy he picked up for $2. I'd say he made the most out of that purchase.
