That's what I can't wrap my head around! How can anyone be oblivious about the basement. But it maybe infact she was a participant in this or she truely didn't want to know. Either way this is just heartbreaking. I'm just glad they were found because what would have happened if that crazy guy died one day and those trapped in the dungeon had no way of knowing or how to get out!?
I LOVE this guys work. When I used to have aspirations of becoming a professional photographer back in high school I got the chance to be the apprentice to my teacher who was a pro photographer who taught on the side. Alas, my parents never could agree to it. Le sigh. ;)
I remember saying to my Physics teacher that we could solve all of our energy problems by putting hamsters into a giant wheel and they would power it with their running. He was not amused. :(

Oh the irony. The tar sands and shales use more oil like CheeseDuck pointed out than they produce. It has to be the silliest thing I've seen. :(
If anything this has fueled my support for public transport and for my decision to buy a Vespa or a Scooter for my travels around the city.
