I read that part, but noticed that in the photo example given, damage to flat reliefs aren't exactly limited to the nose. Instead, the entire face (eyes/nose) was affected.
Oh, gluten sensitivity is real, though its exact prevalence may be debatable, as many people who suffer from it may have only mild symptoms. But I agree with you that grains isn't the culprit here - highly refined grain product may not be good for you though.
I always wonder about research findings that seem to be complete opposites (i.e. "eggs are good for you" vs "eggs are bad for you"). At first, I thought that one of the studies are just bad - must be, right? But after reading some work by Daniel Kahneman and Amos Tversky (Belief in the Law of Small Numbers), I'm not so sure anymore.
It's interesting how JTR articles come in waves (it's been years since it last made it to the laymen's consciousness).
