dont know if it was intentional but the first spiderwoman to be an avenger was Julia Carpenter, strawberry blonde in the black spiderwoman suit, she goes by arache now. The skrull queen disguised as Jessica Drew, the brunette spiderwoman in the red suit, joined in New Avengers after disassembled and the real Jessica Drew only joined more recently after the Skrull invasion.
The multiple Ant Men is probably because there were a few of them (Henry Pym, Scott Lang, and Eric O'Grady)
One would think so, but at $600 a month, it's not exactly a cheap living arrangement (the Kotaku post referred to Japanese commenters who noted that one could rent a real room for about the same price in various, less swanky parts of Tokyo).
