Good deduction skills, then SparkS :) As you can probably guess, we have a queue of posts on Neatorama to be published at certain intervals that are prepared well in advance (so there's always a fresh material on the blog). Admins and authors have to read these before posting/queuing their material so we don't accidentally republish stuff.
Gender differences in spoken Japanese is quite fascinating. I was told by a friend who was learning Japanese in college that the teaching staff (who were all female) had to take extra care not "speak Japanese like a woman" (as opposed to speaking the language like a man), in case that their male students inadvertently learned to speak the language in the "wrong gender."
