My cat is not at all subtle about his feelings. If he's hungry he stands by the food bowl, meows and looks at it, then looks at me, then looks at it and back at me - and he manages to do it all with a huge air of disappointment. When he's playful he comes up and smacks me with his paw then runs away - and keeps doing it until I stop ignoring him and start playing with him. When he's feeling sleepy or antisocial, he scratches, bites, or more often does both at the same time.

It's a nipple crippler for people with restricted hand movement. Just grab the nipple between the pincers, flip the lever on the top and instant owies for the recipient. The wide body makes it easy to hold and even to twist no matter how limited your grip strength is.

I don't mind it... except for the open plan pooping. Although, you certainly wouldn't want to wear a skirt. And if you did you'd want to be wearing your nicest pair of undies, not your "I should have done laundry yesterday" knickers.

As someone with thick and frizzy hair, I've found it useful to lower my criteria about what actually constitutes a good hair day. Plus hats, and ponytails. Hats and ponytails help too, although not at the same time.

Two weeks - You're basically one of the old couple in Where The Wind Blows.

Although to be fair, I'm not sure how knowing which side of a tree the moss grows on in the Northern Hemisphere will help me down here in Australia.

Also, from my extensive TV & movie viewing, I'm not sure that surviving the apocalypse is all it's cracked up to be.

My cat seems to be a little scared of the Christmas tree. He had a little bat at some of the lower hanging ornaments, but other than that he's given it a wide berth. It's not because he's had a bad experience previously, because he's only 20 months old and I didn't have a tree last year. Whatever the cause, I'm fairly happy that he's put his destructive tendencies on hold in this one case.

Wow! I'd only really heard the more recent versions (the Tokens is the one I think of when I hear the song) hearing all the earlier versions and the Ladysmith version it's like a whole different song. I'd always thought it was a comedy song.

I was in high school from 81-85 and it was always 1 strap regardless of how many books you had or how much damage you were doing to your spine. Two straps were for sissies. In fact when I started high school, girls used something more like a book bag that we wore like a handbag or tote.

Backpacks only came in the last couple of years when, from memory, schools in Australia started recommending the use of backpacks with both straps, particularly for younger kids. For older kids, one strap was still the "cool" thing. When I started school in 74, we used to have a port (most often a Samsonite suitcase) which was generally nearly as big as we were.

I'm Australian and I doubt I could even name half the states in America. I could pick out California, Hawaii and Florida without any problem and probably get Nevada, Louisiana, Vermont, & New York at least pretty close to the right place.

I have to admit, that it's only in the Google Maps era that I've ever really looked up US states and I was totally surprised that Texas is down the bottom. I'd always expected it to be at the top of the USA, probably because in Australia the further north you go, the warmer the climate is. That and the fact that almost everything I know about Texas I learned from watching Dallas. :)
