nothing should ever be turned into a rap. ever. even though it's been done for the last 15 years, it's as stupid today as it was the first time it was done.
anyone else put-off by the fact that these extravagant cakes take DAYS to make? wouldn't that imply that the ingredients are infused with artificial ingredients for preservation purposes, which then makes it even MORE unhealthy than a regular cake? i mean, the design is cool, i love mario and i love me some cake, but come on.. and any icing/frosting that requires you to roll it out, place it on top like a sheet, and then CUT IT WITH SCISSORS probably isn't that promising. then again, i'm no cake professional, so i don't know what actual ingredients go into making them. but i DO have common sense, and icing is supposed to be smooth enough to lick off of a spoon.. not scraped off the counter-top.
but beside the fact that this was referred to as "redneck," i don't know.. i think it's really creative. it looks exactly like something i would construct as a little kid. i think people are put off by home projects because everyone these days have grown up with the mentality that anything can be bought from a store. it has almost ruined the entire creative process for people because everything has already been done and is being sold in crappy wal-mart stores for five dollars.
i think the only reason "redneck" jokes aren't funny anymore is because jeff foxworthy has pounded those jokes into the ground-- of course, not without the help of the entire population trying to mimmick him. also, i think we've reached a time where making fun of stereotypes (which in-turn perpetuates) is really posh.. taboo.. looked down upon.. and just not funny anymore.
let's single out an entire group of people because they're "different" and "weird!" that will raise our own status and make us look awesome in front of our friends! c'mon, gang! now we can accepted by EVERYONE!
wow, big spender! that's ridiculous! sorry to hear that.. hope everything settles out ok.
i took a health communications course sometime last year and one of the things we talked about was medical malpractice and how to prevent it. yes, i know leaving a towel in someone during surgery cannot be prevented by the patient, in which case it IS the doctor's fault. i forget what the number is, but there is a percentage of malpractice you CAN prevent, just by properly communicating with your doctor. this applies especially to MEN because they are less likely to seek medical attention than women (which is caused by several factors that i will not waste your time with). knowing what to tell your doctor starts with knowing what your symptoms are. this forces you to be in constant tune to the rest of your body (and mind), and when you are able to more correctly identify how you feel, you will be able to more precisely explain your symptoms, and your doctor can diagnose you correctly. most malpractice suits are caused by the patient neglecting their symptoms, not taking already prescribed medications, not taking the proper dose (either too much or too little), and not being pro-active about follow-up appointments.
so they didn't know that evolution can only happen by the influence of natural surroundings? i find it odd that this is a new discovery.. i mean, if you're one to dabble in the phenomena of evolution and biology, i would think that you would at LEAST know that natural surroundings play a major role in evolution. how else could it happen, especially if said animal produces asexually?
OR you could just get up and walk around for a couple minutes to allow your ass to stop sweating. it's not good to be sitting down all day anyway. stretch those legs!
ALSO-- these studies are supposed to convince people that "marijuana is bad, mmkay?" yet, they don't make a point of researching the ill-effects of pharmaceutical drugs on children (even adults, for that matter)because the FDA continues to profit from them, and pharms do not tend to have a negative connotation across the board. it's a big o'l world of hypocracy, if you ask me.
yea, when kids smoke pot, they don't have the maturity to distinguish these "symptoms" as their brains and bodies are still developing and they are much more likely to take on such habits as a result of peer pressure. teens, as a generalization, can't comprehend artificial paranoia and it is not uncommon for youngins who smoke to experience irrational feelings on the onset of said paranoia. you don't really have a reason to be paranoid when you're a kid because you can't be arrested and the whole "help help i'm being oppressed!" opinion doesn't even occur until you turn 18 and realize you can be thrown in jail for petty crimes.
also, this is why you are encouraged not to smoke or do any drugs when you're young because your brain is still developing. if you introduce any chemical to a developing brain you're likely to see adverse effects later in life, either mental or physical. i know many people my age who can't smoke anymore because it induces panic attacks and anxiety. and what do they do to combat the symptoms? they don't smoke! they have learned what ill effects the drug has on them, and took the smarter route of sobriety (though still indulge in alcohol). i understand that it's hard to say 'no' when you're a teenager because you are at such a prime age to discover the wonders of the world around you, and i am definitely an advocate of exploring those wonders. but if something can cause you to feel uncomfortably anxious or paranoid, don't do it! simple solution.
i would be eager to find out how this turns out.. if it's successful and he's able to gather the needed information, i'm sure he will make the news. then again, if it's a total catastrophe, i'm sure we'll hear about it too.
my dad apparently dates online all the time! the first time he told me that i laughed soo hard.. and he's had lots of success too! go dad go!
