Holly's Comments

i commend the internet for having so much reading material. if it weren't for the intertron, i wouldn't read nearly as much as i do. i've always hated reading books because they've always been boring to me, but i've actually picked up more books in the last year or two because i'm eager to absorb more material. i could also give credit to my boyfriend because he has a good collection of books and he's a reader of sorts... i've also gotten more into politics and worldly affairs, and nothing really compares to the novelty of a good book.

great job, miss c! very funny!! i liked the impromptu raisin milk shake-- can't find it, i'll do it myself!! that's the way to do it.

yunno, you could really do a sort-of spoof of mythbusters, only, instead of solving life's dangerous mysteries, you can solve peoples' crazy online riddles from the safety of your home.

or maybe have some short collaborations of local news around the country that leaves you with a sort-of "huh?!" like the "woo woo" video (http://youtube.com/watch?v=n79jSzKA0L8) or the leprachaun video from mobile, alabama (http://youtube.com/watch?v=nda_OSWeyn8&feature=related)

it's not that they have DEVELOPED a taste for human flesh considering human flesh is no different from other flesh. i mean, if we threw barrels of dead chickens into the ocean and the sharks came after them, would they be developing a taste for chicken? no. sharks eat, and if little timmy just happens to be dangling his tasty feet in front of a hungry mouth, he can't too surprised to feel a sharp and painful nibble.

creativity saved the cat!

i'm just glad they didn't use a giant hook to extract the kitty.. not like that's plausible at all, nor would any normal person think of a giant hook in the first place. what is WRONG with me?

this is hilarious...

and at the same time, just more of a waste of materials and $ for we humans to make fun for ourselves.. yay breaking things!

they should have a wall-punching simulator next to the vending machine for that hulk moment when the china doesn't break.

hey mattie-- i hate hillary and i'm glad she didn't win. but this does not mean that i'm particularly fond of obama either. i don't like hillary because of her over-all character. she always seemed like she was chastizing the public rather than speaking to them, and she just reminded me of a grade-school teacher on the rag. another reason to not support hillary was because we need a new administration. if she won, that would mean this country would be under rule of the same two administrations for the last two decades, and that is just entirely too long. though it would have been awesome to see a woman in office, hillary was not the right woman. AND considering how strong a role bill played in her candidacy, how much would SHE actually be doing?

"Especially since I’m willing to bet most of the people who are so vocal about it can’t tell me a single plank of Obama’s platform."

he wants to reduce foreign dependency on oil by doubling the production of bio-fuels by 2013, ie: ethanol. this means increased production of corn and soy beans and higher prices in the food market because of it. and being the typical democrat, he wants to raise raise RAISE taxes. he does, on the other hand, want to invest in the car companies to research and develop alternative fuels. he walso wants us to run off of 25% renewable energy sources by 2025, ie: solar power, wind energy, geothermal.

one of the things i really admire about him is that he has already changed congress a little bit and he's not even in office. he doesn't want to allow lobbyist contributions anymore, and that tells me he has some good values. the white house doesn't need any more handouts. he also was an avid pot smoker back in the day, and i can usually trust someone a little more if they dabbled a bit in some illegal activity when they were young. it tells me he knows the difference between right and wrong, and he would have to prove himself a little more to the american people (if he gets into office). if that means trying a little harder than your typical candidate, so be it. i'm eager to see what he's got under his sleeves.

if canning has proved one thing to us, it's that it is incredibly unhealthy.

"We cook this bacon down for you prior to canning, so you won’t pay for all of the natural shrinkage"

wait a minute.. we PAY for bacon to shrink? i highly doubt this... and even if we do, we're paying for something that occurs naturally, as well we should. i don't want food to be cheap because 'they' take away all the natural ingredients. our natural bodies are made to process natural foods in order to maintain nornal health. this is a great example of why americans are so fat-- all the food we buy isn't even real anymore, as all the natural ingredients have been replaced by preservatives and additives. not like my one opinion is going to change anything... oh well.. viva la canned bacon, i guess.

ha- thanks rob!

for real, though. how is "shaved" not an appropriate length? i guess knowing the guy's a tool to begin with it shouldn't surprise us that he would be bent on perpetuating stereotypes. in this case, it's the female stereotype that "all" women have long hair and don't shave their heads because women are "supposed" to care about how hot they are. i bet he requires his female employees to wear makeup and short shorts, too.
