I'm a Grover gal myself, though Kermit was always a favorite as well. I had a great Kermit doll as a kid. He was huge, and cuddly and my sister got a hold of him and pooped on him. She was only a toddler at the time, but I still bring it up.
I wouldn't live in Miami again, honestly, but that doesn't take away the fond memories I have of the place, and the food. Now not only do I want a roach coach dog, but I'm hankering for a frita from Morro Castle on 12th Ave. in Hialeah.
I don't know if the body can build up a tolerance, but that's something that my husband swears is true. To be fair, I've known him for over a decade the only time I've known him to get sick from eating the wrong thing was on a trip to Egypt. But he was okay within hours.
This made me almost homesick for the USA. Our local grocery store here in England has hot dogs... in jars. They look like something you would see in a laboratory.
