Is that why women keep having babies even though childbirth is supposed to be one of the most physically painful experiences? If you really remembered how bad it was, you wouldn't want to do it again.
For the sake of our planet, that wouldn't be such a bad evolutionary adjustment. Make the pain more memorable... cut down on the surplus kids.
It's "a ban on new fast-food restaurants". See that little three-letter word in there? NEW. Look it up. Nobody's banning fast food. At this point, I doubt it will make much difference anyway. People have already managed to make themselves obese with what's there now.
Does anyone else find it disturbing that someone who works in the health care industry is promoting bad eating habits?
'"It’s stupid. It’s our body, we choose what we put in it," Tonya Owens, a 45-year-old nurse assistant told Reuters.'
That was great. I'm pretty sure I'm one of those, but I'm not sure which. Actually, I think most people would fall into one of those categories at one time or another.
I would have added the "religious nut" to the list, though. Getting bombarded by obscure, seemingly irrelevant Bible verses is never pleasant... especially if you're not a Christian.
"There are no guarantees in life; a dad can get hit by a bus at 30 or can die in his sleep at 90."
No, but kids don't generally worry about their 30-year-old father getting hit by a bus. But if he's 90, I think there's more likely to be questions about how long he's going to last.
And I didn't mean to imply that this could CAUSE bi-polar disorder. All I meant was that the stress could certainly cause other emotional issues. Bi-polar disorder stems from something physical. Merely being worried about your old dad isn't going to cause it.
To those who keep saying "pick your battles": Are you really that dumb/lazy, or do you have obese children and are too ashamed to admit that you screwed up? If you're going to be picking your battles, shouldn't setting up good eating habits and ensuring your child's future health be at the very top of the list? If that's not the battle you pick, what is?

Good grief.
I don't really care, though. I'd rather think for myself than end up in heaven with people like AnUnSi.

What a way to ruin perfectly good jicama. If it's fresh, it does have a very nice flavour. It reminds me of snap peas.
