There have been some good points. Yeah, how is a tiny knapsack really going to slow down anybody on a shooting spree? It's a really stupid idea, and preys upon a victim mentality.

Point #2: yes, Thebes, said crazed killers do usually pick a spot where they can cause a lot of mayhem with little resistance. The killer at the Amish school last year, targeted the Amish for just that reason. The Chechen terrorists at the school in Russian did the same thing for the same reason. Bullies / killers / terrorists like victims whom can be counted on to roll over and cower in free.

Being of the right age, I tend to enjoy retro-arcade stuff, and am looking forward to the new film "The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters". It's a documentary on a now middle-aged dweeb's attempt to break a decades old Donkey Kong record held by another middle-aged dweeb. Check out "www.billyvssteve.com". The trailer at least is a hoot.

Me thinks it's the ratio between waist and hips (not what was stated, the opposite) that should be 0.7. The order is kinda important when speaking in ratios...

What's the big deal? 25 years ago when I went to summer camp, we were instructed in the safe and responsible use of firearms (rifle, pistol, and shotgun) and everyone was the better for it. We did lots of other stuff too... No land mine or grenade training, though (much to my chagrin). Somewhere around here, I've all my N.R.A. Junior Marksman awards...

hey eggshaped -- any chance you can light a fire under somebody to get Q.I. sent to the U.S. via "BBC Amercia". I've seen all the "Keeping up Appearances" and "As Time Goes By" (both funny, in different ways) episodes and don't think I can stomach "Footballers' Wives". I'd heard of QI of course, but have never been fortunate enough to watch it.

Kudos to the Red Bull folks (and their imitators) for figuring out a way to charge gobs extra for soda.
