Today I found out: 1) Installing a traffic sign is akin to ordering a hammer for a military aircraft - i.e., all things considered, the cost is the same. 2) we're pretty much on the metric system, just not publicly. Which gives the rest of the world (especially certain pesky New Zealanders), something to complain about.
Well. You gave me the 100 points, so I guess I'll take them by saying formatting and linking have changed such that "<a href=" is dead and everything is one long run-on paragraph. . .
Look this up in your Funk and Wagnalls - Saturday Night Live was Laugh-in reincarnated for late night TV. Lorne Michaels, who's responsible for SNL, got his start in TV as a writer for Laugh-in. And that's the truth – PFFFFT!
First grade. I didn't eat breakfast. I rarely eat it today. So we have a little exercise: What do you have for breakfast? My reply when it was my turn: "My mom gives me a glass of water." All downhill from there. Never forget sitting in the Principal's office with my mom (who worked nights) yelling "I feed him! The kid won't eat!" Went downhill even further when I got home from school that day. . .
It was a phase. A brief period of a couple of years when the kids were young enough to have fun with it. The U.S. doesn't have Ostereierbaum and the long history of linking eggs with rebirth, Spring, and as an ancient symbol of life. We have the Easter Bunny; and linking that to Easter doesn't work very well.
Pretty much everyone close to the comic book community knows the story of Bill Finger. This is the trailer for the documentary which is on Hulu. If you don't have Hulu, you can read about Bob Kane, Bill Finger and Batman Here and Here
Interesting. I'm all-in on #2. I'm not a Velveeta fan - melted pre-processed cheese - yuck to both. As for the difference between pre-shredded/block cheese - I didn't know that. . .
If you're familiar with the New York Times - they've launched a new 'Privacy Project' homepage for "an ongoing examination of privacy" along with the digital world's impact on our information. At last count there were +/- 15 trackers from various companies just on the homepage. . .
I tend to agree with Edward. It was an interesting read, but Vox tends to lean heavily to the left so anything social or political should be gauged with that in mind. Given the rate of technological change in the past ten years, I think it's a safe assumption it will be radically different in 50. Hopefully, in some of the mentioned predictions, considerably less.
And that's the truth – PFFFFT!
