Gauldar's Comments
This idea isn't new. There was an issue last year on the Torontoist.com blog regarding a guy with a business called 'Bumvertising'. The ethics involved were questionable regarding it with how much these people were actually receiving for being a human billboard, but marketing folk can see things like this as an untapped resource. This guy getting $100/day plus food and clothing sounds like a good deal, and I hope he puts it to good use to get his life on track... that is if this doesn't just turn out to be a marketing gimmick.

Leigh,
When you say 'good', do you mean guys with more money then they know what to do with?

First one I noticed was Markus Phoenix from Gears of War, quite suitable to represent iron(Fe). I highly disagree with Joe Madden representing mendelevium(Md), that ass clown doesn't deserve that spot.

Jim,
The only way to waste human intelligence is to not use it.

The Turk has been featured quite a few times on Neatorama. I'd be interested to see a match of Chess Boxing, but mostly for examining the choices the players make at chess after having received numerous blows to the head.

Well, it makes perfect sense to spend money on legal crap like this with the currant state of the economy and housing crisis. Even big business needs to have fun somehow by kicking smaller ones around, and those starving lawyers need to feed their families/prostitutes/strippers too.

@Chris
If your referring to synthetic thermoplastic materials such as Polyester or Nylon, you'd be surprised how much water they actually absorb. Sure, they don't hold as much water as other fabrics (eg. cotton), but they don't repel it like this stuff supposedly does.
@kev
agree 1000%!

That may be a possiblity, but for now I will blame you for moving my comment to the wrong news post and take no responcibility for my mistake.

Hmm, I just had a thought. Are ghost and angel sightings at tourist locations the first form of viral marketing?

I always love seeing pictures of this, they have a great way of bringing nature back to the city. I wish Toronto would do this, but I don't know what the maintenance would be like regarding snow.

Careful there Johnny. You remember what happened last time when Neatorama became a bad influence to people when it talked about the hacked road signs and blew that out of perportion. Next thing you know you'll start reading about pepper sprayed beavers.
