I was shopping for some fresh salmon recently and hit the Whole Foods markets before hitting the supermarket. They had the same cuts from the same producers as the Supermarket but the quality was lower and the prices were higher.

Since then I've been comparing produce and the like and found my locally owned supermarkets buy more local produce than the nationally owned WFM. And it's usually cheaper and higher quality to boot.

Even the local Costco has more produce from in state growers than Whole Foods so it's a business model, not the fact that they're owned by out of state offices. Once you look past the words "Natural" and "Organic" that are thrown around there you find it's as corporate and national as Wally World.

Peep Show did an episode on that.
"It's pretty bad but you should see the other girl... Because she can't see you!"
*Maybe if I keep kissing her, scary words won't keep coming out of her mouth.*

This is the way all groundwater works. If you're standing on the side of a hill the water above sea level the ground under you is moving at a very slow rate to the ocean. The amount flowing out is usually the same as what comes in via rain and you end up with equal balance.
Even the Ogallala Aquifer has a baseflow but you don't say that a giant lake the 1/3 the size of the US is flowing to the ocean.

In the middle east turning your back like that and showing the bottom of your foot is a rude gesture (when it's done in such a deliberate way).

Depend on what part of the world you're from imagine that he made the kick while flipping the bird, giving a "two finger salute", chin flicking, or grabbing his crotch and spitting on the ground.

So it wasn't just showing off and rubbing it in, it was deliberately bad conduct.

Do you ever wonder what you will tell your children and grandchildren about how "weird" things were when you were young?
"Grandpa, Grandma says you grew up when Hipsters were popular. What was it like?"
"Well I remember this one time a bunch of Hipsters thought it would be "Ironic" to buy everything in a convienience store."
"What happened to them?"
"After they ran out of money most moved back in with their parents till they could find real jobs."

I pretty sure for every Skilled Mason that got a tomb for the Pyramids he had many workers beneath him for the heavy hands on work.

Maybe not slaves, but low paid, unskilled labor that would be considered slaves by today's standards.

Reminds me of that free-climber that was always doing dangerous stunts without safety gear claiming "He knew what he was doing" till his rope snapped while rope jumping.
