Wow, strangely misogynistic...

A lot of room for a cartoon that says, "women can't be in positions of command because they won't be able to communicate effectively due to the strange way that all women want people to read their minds when they clearly know nobody can."

Once people felt that they could no longer leave (i.e. after "Officers barricaded the area, halting 19 cars") it was unlawful detention--except for the bank robber. 18 lawsuits and one bust.

It is a slippery slope.

Now look at the French laws on situations like this. They do have this authority and have had it since Naplolean.

Anyone else thinking how "Fahrenheit 451"-y this is?

Not to spoil anything for anyone who has not read it, but it just seems almost identical to the idea that each person would remember an entire book for the greater benefit of society.

That is, if, that was THIS guys goal...

A sharpie works well, too, and they can't take it off (easily).

Again, we are talking about a situation where the child is lost and has been found by an adult who is interested in getting the child back to their parents.

You can also get customized (really customized) "Live Strong" bracelets.

I like the dog tags and sharpies best.

I don't mean to be a downer, but if these invention posts have to be here can they just show one picture? These posts just seem to go on and on...I guess they do cover white space... I really don't mean to be rude, I am sure that he is a nice fella and whatnot. These inventions just cover too much space. One pic and link, how does that sound?

Here is a link to the gallery--go to the Creatures & Special Creations link to find the T-Rex photos!

And it is closer, anatomically speaking, than the one for $7500. Oz Works is much less and looks as good or better...and might be BIGGER even.

I like Roman Polanski, his movies, and his vision. Incredible director, one of my favorites.

That being said, rape of a minor (even what is called 'statutory rape', is a serious crime that most or all western nations recognize and enforce.

The civil settlement is irrelevant. Whether or not he had been sentenced, and for that matter served the last however-many-years in prision, the civil suit would have progressed (anyway).

He broke a real law, meaning a law intended to protect the weak form other stronger members of society, and he needs to be punished.

Whether I like him or not is also irrelevant.

I like Bill Clinton but still curse him for not being able to keep his fly shut. Think of everything he could have gotten accomplished if he had not had the Lewinsky scandal to feed the flames of the republican machine against him.

Just because I like someone, or most of what someone is doing, doesn't make them perfect or infallible.

Today is my birthday!

'Old enough to remember'? Now that hurts.

I was in junior high when it happened. We watched the entire thing unfold on a TV screen. We were allowed to watch in our classrooms because a teacher had been chosen to go on the space shuttle.
