I don't mean to be a spoilsport, but this is one of the most popular ways the youth are using (at least where I live) to get drunk without being immediately detected. By posting this, you aren't helping...those who DIDN'T already know, now do...Please delete this post.

DX---Where are you donating the money? I hope it's going to foster children....they are the ones who lose out when druggies get pregnant. And 95% of the time, they don't WANT to have a baby in that situation, they just can't remember to do birth control, drugs come first. I wish someone would find a way to REALLY do rehab. I mean, a way that works better. Of course, if your life sucks, being on something seems OK, right? I had a brother who spent much of his life on something...when he was eventually sober, it had zapped his body so much that he died of a massive heart attack at 50. I would have given ANYTHING if I could have 'healed" him.

As a former teacher of those children of the inner city, as long as the sterilization is temporary, I have no problem with it. The children are starving, and usually have little care; no one else wants them. When Mom is lucid, she regrets what she is doing, but is powerless when under the drugs' power. As long as nothing is permanent, I see no problem.

I really like the Hitchcocks. I think the older films suit this style better; they'd make great gifts framed. And no, I have NO connection to this Etsy store!

I'm 50 and remember boys being nuns, witches, raggedy anns and cheerleaders when I was growing up, and I'm SURE that most of them are still straight. But I understand that the Moms don't want their little boy to be stigmatised because of them; he wouldn't be otherwise. I'd say give him his dress and let him decorate it as he wants. I am SO disgusted by the Religious Right. Nature and God makes us who we are, not a Halloween costume. We are meant to accept EVERYONE as they are. Next year he'll probably want to be a Transformer or a Zombie.

I work in a bookstore, so I read a copy when it came in and laughed my a** off. It is meant to be a release from the STRESS of being a parent...like a "what you wish you could say, but NEVER would." Yes, there are many children out there with terrible lives, blah, blah, blah...this is just some humor for the parents who may need a little laugh over parenting and it's NOT for their kids to ever see. What is the harm? Sometimes "normal" people need a little care, too. (BTW, I've was a teacher for 20 years; reading a book like this is NOT going to change a person's parenting skills....)

I taught in public schools for 20 years, the last 8 here in Yellow Springs, OH, where MANY folks are health conscious and/or vegetarian. I think it's disgusting. The school menus in 4 of the 5 districts I taught in were AWFUL...french fries, greasy burgers, vegetables so limp you couldn't identify them...No, I think the parents should be choosing the lunch. Try some educating them, but definitely NOT require them to get lunch at school. I'd almost bet it was a problem with the contract with the food vendor...

It is still true. My husband, who can walk, but is in too much pain to take more than a few steps, uses a chair. Much of the time people talk to me instead or talk to him like he is deaf or stupid--it's just his legs that have problems, nothing else! And the ADA has grandfathered so many places in that he still has trouble going places; not enough ramps, doors not wide enough....!
FDR endured great pain and suffering to do the fantastic job he did for our country. Let all see how he TRULY was...

I don't think the argument is "why use beagles?" folks...I think it is "let's get them a better home." I have met retired greyhounds, too, and they are very happy to be living a better life. Even if lab life isn't QUITE as barbaric as this video attests at all testing facilities, you can't argue that it's as nice as most pets' homes, can you? And I have heard of MANY places that have "debarked" dogs for the humans' convenience....How "inhumane!" I personally always get a stray or a rescue animal....

Glad to see most people think that the N-word should stay to provoke discussion. I doubt this new edition will sell much except to a few schools that have been censoring their reading lists. I taught at a district in Northern Ohio that wouldn't use a text that gave an example of a "spell" for an exercise and banned over 100 classic pieces of literature from its library that were MUCH tamer than this. Very sad, really. Let's not let Big Brother win!

For those of us who are classical musicians, it is a real treat to watch the film. I first saw it in the late 70's when it was re-released and I was in high school and I can say it was a major part of my development. Yes, it was dated, but what sound, what colors....even then, some of it was ahead of its time. I can see WHY it is the #5 animated film of all time and something that Walt should have been proud of!

It's not cheating...those test banks are often used for study materials, and you can't tell me that prof doesn't know it. That prof isn't earning his salary if he is just using the test questions verbatim. Now we know why colleges are trying to get rid of tenure...it's professors like this who are NOT doing their job that ruin it for the rest. (Yes, I'm a former school teacher.) He's just mad that in a way, he was "caught" but he's trying to pin it on his students...NO WAY!

I use media mail almost all the time for my auctions because 98% of them ARE books, CDs, sheet music or videos. They may check them as much as they want, I just hope they repackage them as nicely as I do because that's one of my hallmarks. People who try to sneak otherstuff in are being stupid; it's not worth the extra few cents....

This woman was NOT a good candidate for adoption. ANY older child being adopted will have some issues and will need understanding and probably some counseling; she obviously was expecting a "perfect" child. This poor child needed much more than she was able to give and was probably "damaged goods" from years in the orphanages over there. It would have taken more time than a few months for him to adjust to life here; much more than she was willing to give. Adoption is NOT something to been done without A LOT of deep thought, ESPECIALLY with an older child. She sounds like a true idiot. Personally, I think it's time we start adopting the children we have here in the US waiting for homes instead of going elsewhere....There are PLENTY, folks.
