wonderful post. I was only reading about these the other day, as I was trying to work out if the US had mobile libraries like we have in the more rural areas of the UK.
Many of the designs are lovely, but the readability really suffers on a lot of them, which defeats the purpose of putting a poster up in the first place. The dog one especially has a photo of a different dog and large parts of the text are obscured. Also the cleaning lady one - the hourly rate is almost unreadable.

The "pay off" was obvious from the opening frames of the animation which spoilt it a bit, and his outfit and bald head was a bit of a giveaway too. but then that might just be because my wife gave birth last month!
