This is true in the Netherlands, a well regarded university study showed that cars pas an avarage of 15 cm closer if the cyclist is wearing a helmet. Of course Dutch trafic is very used to bikes.

because thats not how the underlying MULTI touch electronict work. there is no fisical layer you push down, as was with older touchscreens. it need coductifity to work.

they used to use a simple plank with a piece of rope at it, and then count how many knots pas trough your hand in specified amout of time. Thats why naval speeds are expressed in Knots. This is a more modern way of doing it.
