Ned's Comments

I bet my wife that this item would get $350.00 or more.
She doesn't think that it will get above $100.00. Anyone else want to bet the final sale price?

I think the last line is inspired. It's a great haiku!

Here is my anti-haiku haiku:

Haikus are stupid
Ask any seventh grader.
Stupid and boring.

& I'll make one up in the spirit of zombies.

Slumping through the house
Putrescent bathrobe shun
my zombie mother.

Teri, if you had a family of cats who decided to live in your garage, would you call somebody to come deal with them in a humane fashion or would you just toss a canister of poison gas in there and be done with them?

You never signed up to be a cat refuge after all...

If I were to vote for who my views are closest with, it would be for Dennis Kucinich. As it stands, I don't think old D.K. has a snowballs chance anywhere even to hit the broad side of a barn, say. I've wasted my vote on too many elections voting the way I wish most people would, with their hearts.

This time, I'm going to vote with my brain. (I can hear the disparaging comments already for saying that)
I believe that if both candidates had the same skin color, this election wouldn't even be close enough to be called a race.

This is a sad commentary on the American public. I am going to vote for change, & I encourage all of you who are voting republican, to vote conscientiously and to change your vote to <3Kucinich<3.

Wow, its neat in itself the like-minded people who frequent this website. Many of the selections people have already made I would also endorse.

What I haven't seen yet is:

Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert

The Year of Living Biblically by A.J. Jacobs (hilarious!)

and if you want to get *really* light, my comic book recommendations are:

Asterix and Obelix by Goscinny & Uderzo

Beatiful Stories for Ugly Children by Louapre & Sweetman

lastly,

a book on tape from the library

The Count of Monte Christo by Alexandre Dumas was amazing, though I never read the book proper...

As a long-time and true friend of Eric's I am bound to defend him:

"A.J."- don't worry... things will look up. I'm sure that one day soon you'll accomplish something nearly as outstanding as Eric and you won't have to make disparaging comments about people you don't know to make you feel better about yourself.

ted- if you truly don't care and feel passionate enough to post on it, why don't you start your own blog or website and showcase all the things you feel ambivalent about. It may end up being as interesting as neatorama!

AM- you misspelled awesome.
