"but a lot of youngsters don’t see the attraction"

Huh? I assume that's just an excuse, since I can't remember ever meeting a kid that didn't like pancakes, unless they just legitimately didn't like them.

Or you're a very mean parent and serve them with some nasty sugar-free syrup or something.

@ezpzvi:

"It’s crazy to imagine that we could live our everyday lives without using fossil fuels. I couldn’t, that’s for sure. Could you?"

Actually, yeah, it's not all that hard. The only thing in out lives that currently requires fossil fuel are internal combustion engines - and we have many more of those than we need due to cultural tendencies and poor (sub)urban planning. Alternative energy and newer, safer forms of nuclear energy can easily provide all the power we need, if there were an appropriate momentum to move that way.

The only reason we continue to consume what we do, like we do, is momentum and money, and even the oil industry admits that.

I can only assume they are referring to the differences in waste, hip, and groin shape, for women who want tight fitting jeans regardless. Still a stupid advertisement with the wrong connotation though - that only addresses shape, not size.

Or maybe the intern in charge of the ad just grabbed the profiles of the women he liked best. :)

Also, I'm such a guy, first difference I looked at was chest size. :P

I... just... yeah.

I think people are going to be more disturbed by brainless zombie chickens on their plate than densely packed normal chickens. Not to mention the complete lack of muscle development this will cause is going to create a different product.

I'd rather see more development on growing muscles from scratch as meat than this.

"The law states you have to display the times in their specific windows, you can’t block it off and make it this big chunk of time.”

Here's a thought, fix the law. Or just ask for a court waiver under the circumstances. People waste too much money and time on issues "because they have to", when really they don't. If the system can't work out something this simple, the system is broken.

@JTPatrick: Maybe to someone who doesn't know americans... vegetarians (seriously, who associates canada with vegetarians, that's reserved for the NW US)? hockey moms (that would be canada, not alaska)? mesoindia (just, wtf)? It doesn't even get the ones close to the states right, which are the only ones your stereotypical stupid American would even acknowledge as existing.

And Indian curry is a staple of the late British empire, not the US. At least on the west coast, more people associate curry with Thai food, but are likely to confuse Thailand and Taiwan. India would be where all your support calls go.

It seems like some of the previous ones were better, or at least more humorous. Some of these seem to be random and way out there, even confusing in some cases.

"vegan white chocolate"

So basically, not chocolate. (I know, it has cocoa butter, and I love white chocolate on occasion, but taking the milk out of it just seems to make it all that much more wrong to call it chocolate of any sort.)

So now people will be discriminated against if they don't like posting their personal details for the world to see? Yeah, I see a lawsuit or 5 coming out of that. :P

Simply speaking, that method just isn't going to work effectively for a number of job types. There does seem to be a movement to match positions to people rather than resumes - and that's a good thing, since most resumes are full of BS and many degrees don't have as much value as they should - but social media isn't the catch-all replacement.

Good management with strong character judgement and a helping of common sense will net even better candidates...

Not quite that geeky, no, but geeky for sure. It's a good comparison though because neato and thinkgeek are both usually geeky in the most fun ways possible. :)

The best part about this list is that he's replying to blog offerings in the comments.

I finally had to pull giz and lifehacker from my google reader yesterday. It's not that I hate them so much as there have been so many flamebait posts lately that it's distracting - hard to resist the urge to go look at the comments, and that becomes a time sink :).

The sorting eggs by size issue is a big one. There are many accounts of most or all of a carton of Jumbo eggs being double yolked, and it makes perfect sense. When you have a farm of densely packed chickens producing thousands upon thousands of eggs, the largest of the batch being those 1/1000 doubles and packed in the same container is not very far-fetched.
