Ha! Think it's easy to make a police sketch? Try your hand at it here:

Whenever I try to do my own face, I look like I just robbed a minimart.

That title has implications that suggest, well, something different. Kind of like the fate of the pool 'boy', if you know what I mean . . .

Of course they're left handed. They are in Australia. You know, the Southern hemisphere!

OK, it must have hurt, but I am sure he felt much more confident and attractive while wearing them!

I don't know if it is true for this grade level, but Japanese students in high school change from their street shoes into 'indoor shoes' when they get to school. It's a common Anime scene for the main character to find a note in his or her shoe locker (a love note, or a letter of challenge to fight).

OK, yeah. We'd use Usenet and Gopher. When you got an email attachment, you'd have to concatenate a bunch of .uue files and use UUdecode on them. That would be a bit inconvenient when you try to binge-watch "Friends" by going to ftp.netflix.com to download each episode. Oh, and when you want to get some software, you can send an email to the Simtel listserver, or send a query to Archie!

The part about Dawn taking care of Natalie was quite touching. It sounds like the thing that Maryanne would have done.

The silver ant's behavior and environment has a fascinating post-apocalyptic feel to it: living in an environment that is so harsh. It turns out that the foragers wait in underground chambers while scouts rush in and out of the entry, monitoring the heat of the surface. When the scouts determine that it is deadly hot outside, then the foragers get a signal to run out en masse to capture the victims of the sun.

Mississippi Riverboat may be one of the "Riverworld" series.
