I will be the first person in any group to praise Gilliam and his out-of-the-box movies. But. Dude. I'm surprised they let him do anything after Tideland.
Wow, some people sure have a problem with this. The bottom line is these kids made a point (although I doubt it will get their friends out of trouble) and had a memorable, fun evening.
I think the cop was right to breathalize, simply because even if ONE kid was schmammered, drove home, and got into an accident - the cop would get the blame for not testing him. At least that would have been his reasoning. I mean, cops sure are dicks but it's not like they operate in a vacuum.
I majored in English, so I am hardly objective in this matter, but the trivia of Wikipedia is half the reason I go there (usually for looking up tidbits on films I've just seen). After all, what is most knowledge in the context of everyday life, but trivia??
Scotter, you're being a prig. There are many reasons why home schooling is not a good idea (teaching kids creationism, molesting kids, not allowing for socialization) but it's also obvious that it should be an option for parents who desire a better education for their kids than the school district is able to provide.
Therefore, there may be a multitude of reasons why this case elevated this high up.
It's obvious that some other remedy than outlawing homeschooling is necessary.
I think the curved and thickened edge of the last tine makes it easier to cut food than a traditional tine.
They may have added serrations, probably less than a butter knife, but I really doubt they would make it *sharper.* I know I would injure myself on such a thing.
This is disgusting, not just because of the age difference, but also because he is an ugly man and taking advantage of the fact that this chick does not know any better.
Ephebophile or just someone who just doesn't want to grow up, that guy is gross.
The umbrella is an example of modern technology that obviously sucks but is hard to redesign pragmatically. I'm skeptical about this anti-rain globe: There are too few pictures of it in action, the opening and closing of it looks like a big hassle, and it looks like it might not be as pleasant to wear for the tall or large-chested.
Plus the site's writing is TERRIBLE, and that is never a good sign.
I just remembered George Orwell's *Down and Out in Paris and London,* a book in which the upper-class Orwell writes about his experiences slumming it. It's a beautiful nonfiction work - without all that didactic conservative mongering that Adam seems to enjoy.
Also, see Pulp's (or William Shatner's) *Common People.*

On second thought, the two stories CAN'T be related, because I can't possibly imagine Bellen making out all again.

::shivers:: and so ugly.

but I agree that it looks good. Could look better - probably will - and WAY more fun than watching people dry hump.
