alice 10's Comments

It's surprising how few comments there are on this that state the obvious- it's one girl. They. Are. Not. All. Like. This.

There, I've said it as clear as I can.

Yes of course we have all seen people who abuse the genorosity of others, but actually think back of all the people who you haven't seen actively begging for money because they're so drunk or drugged up. And why would they be drunk/drugged up? Not because it's fun, but because it's easier to deal with (for a woman) to be raped now and again if you're so off your face you don't remember.
Sorry to be so blunt but the uncaring attitude of some of the commenters has angered me.

Like not Americans are stupid, and not all Muslims are terrorists, not all homeless people are frauds.

I'm just so glad she was able to have a divorce.
The consummation thing hit nastily with me, but lots of people have commented on that, so I'll point out she said she wanted to have a divorce so she could "go back to school".

Speaks volumes in itself. I feel pretty guilty now about how I "hated" school, when I could have been married off before becoming anything like an adult, and then denied education which will be her only way out, if she wants/needs one.

Not necessarily ripped off Spaced. I mean, how many American advert producers would watch an English show? I think they just had the same idea.

Love the bit at the end with the guy in the car :D

If she'd done a Brummie (UK) accent it would have been hilarious.

She was good. Few people could do that. Yes, her accents were off, but unless she'd spent considerable time in each of the places she was mimicking, I'm sure we can forgive her.

It's true. If he was intent on killing people, he was in a particular state of mind which probably didn't include thinking about the logistics of how many other people had guns, how long it would take for the police to get there etc.
If everyone carried a gun, gun crime now would seem insignificantly low.
If noone carried a gun, we don't know how many people he would have killed.
There are arguments on both sides, so lets not get into that one.
But morally, is it right to shoot someone who's shooting others? Does it not make you as bad/debased as the person doing the shooting to begin with?

It's all a question of angles...

I studied this in my psychology classes.
We were taught it wasn't called a "syndrome" that the whole thing was called Bystander Behaviour.
Also, a reason why noone helped you stillpissedoff, is because people are far less likely to get in the middle of an argument between two people who are together (or seen to be together) as it's thought of as a domestic dispute.

If you shout (and this is for anyone in a similar situation to the one above this comment) "get away from me, I DONT KNOW YOU" people have been proven to be more likely to help.

I'm really sorry that happened to you stillpissedoff, people do suck. But if we try and change our own behaviour and not just walk by maybe it'll rub off on others.
