Am I the only one who's not quite getting how this works? Looking at the Instructable, it seems like an individual "sling" was made for each book, but if that's the case then how is that end book mounted with no visible means of support? Or am I having a total brain-fart and missing something really obvious?

Good on him, people SHOULD do more to keep sight of what's truly -important- to them (heh, personally -I- left the corporate world for grad school; I bet I could give him a run for his money, austere poverty-wise =)

Aww, mutts are the best =) I love my Heinz 57 - when I'd originally gotten her, I'd had my heart set on a German Shepherd, but after 12 years with her so far I couldn't -imagine- a better doogie. Actually, the last time we were at the vet they said she was probably in such good health because she had enough "mix" in her to be spared the hip and ear problems that often affect older German Shepherds ... I realize that not -all- GSDs (or other purebreds) have breed-related health problems, but either way it's still nice not to have to worry about them quite so much with my muttster =)

Haven't yet checked out the YouTube video, but when I clicked the link to the Photo Gallery I got a Honda-branded page (telling me I needed to upgrade my Flash plug-in, but that part is irrelevant) - IS this somehow related to Honda? Is it some sort of viral advert?

Hmm, they're already charging extra for smokers, and now they're expanding it to address obesity as well ... part of me thinks it seems reasonable to ask that people take on some of the additional cost if they genuinely -are- in a situation where they -could- change their habits and subsequently lower the amount that must be paid for their care over the years (yes, I realize that not everybody CAN lose weight but I'm thinking primarily of those who can here) - according to the article, "research shows someone with a body mass index of 35 to 39 generates $1,748 more in annual medical expenses than someone with a BMI less than 25, considered normal" ...

I suppose in a way it's not that Big Brother is -forcing- anybody to lose weight, simply requiring that they shoulder some of the financial consequences if they don't ... But on the other hand this DOES seem like an awfully slippery slope, how DO you decide what lifestyle choices/situations should come with an additional price tag and which ones don't? There just doesn't seem like there -is- one right, 100% fair answer here ...

Gee, thank heavens this priest is spending his time demonstrating that nuns can be pretty, how else could they possibly expect to have any sort of value? =P Lucky thing all the disease and hatred and poverty has been solved so he can focus on this vital matter ...

If that's what he wanted, it's not hurting anybody I s'pose - but I do wish you hadn't posted a picture of him on the front page, that was something I really didn't want to see =(
