@Kalel: Thank you. Best comment on the subject.
Some people are predisposed to addiction; they're still responsible if they get drunk or high and hurt someone.
Juries are filled with idiots. Some of the decisions juries have made make me want to give them a smack upside the head.

Neuticles are often used by owners of show dogs, as the males cannot compete if they are neutered. If a dog loses a teste in an accident or to an illness, they are often replaced by a neuticle, so that the owner can continue to show the dog. Of course, if the judges find out, the dog is banned, but what if they never do?

Grant of the Mythbusters beat the MRI as lie detector without little planning, so it should definitely be excluded, just like any other lie detector evidence.

I'm gluten intolerant. I also have issues digesting certain foods. The worst, though, was finding out that I don't enough of the right factor to digest Vitamin B12. That issue led to years of migraines, piles of medications, and lots of pain, until it was accidentally discovered when a doctor put me on sublingual B12 to help my energy levels. Two weeks later, my migraines were gone. That's when I did some research on my own to find out why.

Why the h**l would you have a dog door big enough to let wildlife through when you live in the sticks? I grew up out in the foothills of the Sierras. No dog doors or similar openings of any kind. We really didn't have to worry about cougars, but there were raccoons and rattlesnakes and who knows what else might want to find a warm place or easy food.

Looks like the Reptar beds from the movie "The Rugrats in Paris."

The old cats like to frighten kittens with the story of the tree-climbing dog. The kittens never really believed the story, until that day, the day Roxy moved into the neighborhood. There was nowhere safe to climb, nowhere safe from which to taunt the monster known as Roxy the Parkour Dog.

MadMolecule is exactly right, along with all the people who pointed out how the elderly are preyed upon. I'm the type to say, "I'm not interested. Now, f**k off," if someone won't leave me alone; I did, in fact, do just that a couple of weeks ago. I've very polite and civil to people until they try to take advantage of it, then the gloves are off.
This lady is 77, she lives in the Midwest, she is bound to be one of the politest people around. She probably doesn't return things she doesn't like to stores because she "doesn't want to bother the clerk." I have relatives just like that.
Several years ago, we were looking at leasing a Jetta; it was when they first started doing the $199 a month lease. I was pregnant, our car was dying, and we needed something sooner. My husband and I went to a few dealerships and had decided on this one dealership, that is, until they called to tell us that the payments were going to be over $250 a month. I was surprised, as we had already been told the payments would be about $215 ($199 plus local taxes). We told the dealership we weren't interested. They actually called us twice, threatening to use legal action, until my husband pulled his hole card, which is the true fact that his mother is a lawyer and he'd be happy to refer them to her for her opinion of their threats. I owe my mother-in-law many times over, because her being a lawyer has gotten so many people to back off or to take care of things by just mentioning her profession.

I suffer from chronic depression, officially diagnosed and everything. I have some good moments, but my energy goes into keeping my job and taking care of my family, not jetting off to sunny vacations or going to strip clubs to feel better. If you're well enough to do these things, you're well enough to be employed.
