My mom once demonstrated a "worm shocker" her hubby made. It was a thin copper rod that had a standard electrical wire attached to it with black electrical tape. (The wire had been cut from an old lamp and only half of it was attached to the rod. The other half was taped up to itself.)

She pushed the rod a few inches into the ground, plugged the cord in and within a few seconds, the ground around it began to shivver. Suddenly earthworms were popping up everywhere!

It was truly awesome.

For all those who get angry reading about political views that differ from their own, there are TONS of non-political blogs out there. Or start your own!

As for the "Neato" part, I take "neato" to mean "interesting" rather than "all good, happy happy joy joy stuff."

I think it's a great idea, provided the money is available and used to motivate the kids who need it the most.

It teaches them something about real life: to more you learn, the more you earn.

Okay then, what is the proper timeline for human sexual experience? At exactly what age must you give it up to whoever will take it in order to be NORMAL? And at what intervals, and to whom?

If some are to be believed, you should bump uglies with anyone at age 14 and keep doing so every weekend until yer dead. Eh, don't mind the boys. They'll hump a knot in a tree if they can call that "sex". Hee hee hee..

That's pretty amusing. I used to have a cat who was accustomed to my putting fresh food in the bowl at 6:30am. He'd be a good sleeping buddy all night, but when 6am rolled around, he'd start pawing at my nose until I got up. Sure do miss that mancat.

So many people still believe that "buy in bulk and SAVE!" stuff, that they automatically assume it's always true.

One of the reasons I don't shop at Costco is because the price per pound on meats, for example is the same as my local grocery. But I don't have room to store 50 pounds of chicken breasts anymore than I want to burn up the gas driving across town to "buy in bulk."

Or we could switch to Hangul (Korean). The alphabet is simpler and if "you can say it, you can spell it." It also combines like sounds into one letter. For example: a hard G and a K (which sound very much alike) are represented by same letter. Same for P, B, F and V.
