Exactly, Miss C. A friend of mine told me she was calling around for plumbers quotes because both her toilets were running. I told her "Don't you dare call a plumber! I'll be right over." Taught her the parts and how to fix it herself, and both thrones were fine within an hour.

Damn. I should have charged her.

Seems the toughest questions are regarding "where do your consumable products come from?", "what does your area produce?" and general knowledge of the world outside the USA borders.

As for the article, it's so sad that we lock these animals in a cage to protect them from us. Because we're to stupid or cruel to realize that they want basically what we all want: companionship, mental stimulus, the chance to live an interesting life.

Meh. I'm off my soapbox for now.

What's "neato" about Neatorama is that the content engages your brain. Sometimes it's just for fun. Sometimes it's intended to make you think -- and question things that aren't very pleasant. Doing so might cause you to strive for positive changes in the world.

If you demand only super happy fun time from your surfing, maybe you should stick to sites that show only baby animals or Fox News?

Still, I was impressed. I have never seen a plane take off like a helicopter -- with almost no runway use. Would like to see the same plane and technique tried under different conditions, too.

Who has a 15" monitor these days? My old puter is rocking a 23" monitor and I watch plenty of Netflix and movies on it, via the internet (and the DVD player). I've never had or felt the need to pay for cable tv.

If there's anything I love more than a slideshow, it's a slideshow that makes you scroll down to read...then scroll up to advance to the next slide...then scroll down to read...up to advance...

How about "slideshows" as the #1 Worst Fail?

A two-week vacation of fun stuff should be enough for a kid. Besides, may as well get kids used to the real world of work in which most people just get 5 days off a year (not counting weekends). Learn to make the best of what little free time you have, kids.

So if your kitchen must supply the chemicals for this "chemistry set", isn't the toy mainly just a bunch of plastic props for a child's imagined laboratory?
