I second the Legends of the Hidden Temple vote. That show was awesome, even if nobody could manage to put together the Silver Monkey in reasonable time...

Yes, and after the months of slumming it, he seems to act as if he understands the situation of the lower class *so* much better than they do.

And don't be so quick to underestimate the power of his education-- not just the bachelor's, but the fact that he takes for granted things like having excellent English with a mainstream accent, knowledge of how to interview for a job (even if only as a laborer), and so on. These things aren't something he can un-learn on command, and with all of the advantages behind him that others have mentioned, he ultimately has a fantastically unrealistic view of poverty.

The effect they were intending to produce was the end of his seizures. The doctors didn't just chop his brain up for the heck of it, but it wouldn't make any sense *not* to study the resultant side effects.

I live in Urbana-- we now have a much steadier system in place. The entire town runs on the students' cafeteria credits and Target giftcards sent from home. :P

If you ever happen to be around Washington, NC, there's a little place called Bill's Hot Dogs. One with everything gets you a hotdog (fried, not steamed) with homemade white chili, onions, and mustard. It's not uncommon to see people walk in and order a few sacks full to take back to their friends-- and I admit, we like to do this for our own family gatherings.

(I *am* from Chicagoland, though, and still can't work out why anyone would want their hotdog with ketchup. It just seems nasty.)

I got to go there in December, actually-- it was not far down the street from my hotel. Evidently some people have weddings down there, which I thought sounded amazing.

To add to the deluge of comments, because we all love you: Hi! I'm a freshman Linguistics major in central Illinois, and I'm convinced I'd do a much better job of getting to my morning classes on time if I weren't checking Neato. My Art History teacher last year got my class hooked on the blog, when she took to showing us a cool link or photo before class every day, and I've been an addict ever since.

Congrats on the 12345. Sto lat!
