I've never understood this, and I still don't get it. The cat is both dead and alive until I make my observation? Huh? It's dead, or it's alive and I don't know which until I look. My looking can't change an outcome that has already happened. It's like saying there's a 50% chance of rain, so it's raining and not raining until I look out the window. That's just silly.
I'm torn. Should I forward this to everyone on my list who fills my inbox with stuff (sweet revenge)or should I just post it on Facebook with a self righteous comment on why I never forward stuff?
Hmm, I like them, but the left side of my brain is screaming "copyright violations!" The right side of my brain is sitting quietly, waiting for the caffiene I just consumed to kick in. :)
So weird hearing that voice talking about adult stuff. My kids are teens now, but every now and then I'll run across some Blue's Clues toy that ended up in the bottom of a closet or drawer. My oldest daughter will sing out "Your welcome!" when thanked for a favor just like Mailbox and we sometimes sing the the Birthday song "Have a happy birthday, you-oo! (instead of Blue) and we'll have a great day, too-oo! Everybody play 'cause it's _________'s special day, Happy Birthday!", followed by chanting "present time, present time, open the present and see what's inside!" And we make "Snowball" cookies from one of the story books, I'm not sure of the title, I think it's Blue's Big Holiday or something like that. Guess watching the same episode 5 days a week really makes an impression!
I suffer from frequent online alias naming remorse. My "original" ideas turn out not to be so original and I keep trying to come up with something that means something to me, and end up feeling very silly in the end. I'm influenced by the most recent thing I've been watching or doing, piffany coming from the Nodwick comics. The one I regret the most is "simgelf". While trying to come up with a handle for the Sims 2 website, I had been watching Red Dwarf reruns. G.E.L.F. = genetically engineered life form, frequently used on the show. But I feel like I need to explain it, so I don't like it anymore.
