A similar thing happened here in Lancaster county. A lady saved a wild bird and then kept it as a pet. Cops found out when she was interviewed about it for a fluff piece in the local paper and they stomped in with guns and a warrant and took it. Then refused to say what happened to the bird. Local reaction was pretty unfavorable and this is about the most conservative spot in the universe.

May those who favor state sponsored punishments like flogging and solitary confinement never have a loved one condemned to such treatment.
